Obama Supporters ‘Not Responsible Enough To Own A Firearm,’ AZ Gun Store’s Sign DeclaresIt was reported over the weekend that the owner of a gun store in Arizona is telling Pres. Obama’s supporters he doesn’t want their business. Cope Reynolds, the owner of Southwest Shooting Authority, a gun store located in Pinetop, Arizona, took out a full page ad in a local newspaper that read: “If you voted for Barack Obama your business is not welcome.” The New York Daily News reports that Mr. Reynolds also posted a sign on the store’s front door: “If you voted for Obama, please turn around and leave! You have proven you are not responsible enough to own a firearm.” It is not known how Reynolds will identify Obama supporters and it doesn’t seem likely that one would admit to having voted to reelect the president if they wish to purchase a gun at his store. In an emailed statement, Reynolds wrote: “Obviously, this is nothing more than a political statement. Of course, it would be impossible to enforce. If they don’t say anything, we’ll never know. They could purchase whatever they wanted, and they would probably get a big kick out of thinking they are rubbing it in our face as they walk out the door.” Despite Mr. Reynold’s personal attempt at “gun control,” it has been widely reported that gun sales are on the rise though the reason behind demand varies from source to source. One theory suggests that citizens are stockpiling arms out of concern that President Barack Obama will tighten regulations on assault weapons, even ban them outright in his second term. |
Why Rubio is a frontrunnerThere is obviously a lot of time between now and the next presidential election, and many will surely say it is premature to even talk about it. But with Sen. Marco Rubio going to Iowa – and Gov. Bobby Jindal speaking out on the future of the GOP — the campaign seems to have unofficially begun. Pundits, of course, are also pouncing. Race for 2016 is already up with some arguments against Rubio — and they aren’t alone. But while the concerns are legitimate to raise, they are hardly disqualifying. A predictable argument against Rubio will be that he is too young and inexperienced. But Mitt Romney’s only elected experienced was as a one-term governor, so surely serving as Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives — as well as a United States Senator for six years — should be acceptable. Rubio has clearly passed the threshold of experience needed to be president. Of course, citing the fact that Obama had even less experience will get Rubio nowhere. But the truth about Obama is that he would very likely have never become president had he spent a decade or two in the U.S. senate — taking too many controversial votes — and becoming an establishment creature of Washington. Should he run in 2016, Rubio would have more DC experience than Obama, but probably not so much as to turn him into a Bob Dole, John McCain, or a John Kerry. Still, in a post-Obama world, the experience question will be raised by some fellow Republicans. For example, Jindal has a richer resume. But Jindal hasn’t proven himself to be a terrific or inspiring communicator. And that’s vitally important. You know you’re in trouble when you hear someone say: “We don’t need a young and exciting candidate who is charismatic. We had enough of that last time!” Wrong. A candidate who is too charismatic is like a girl that is too pretty — something that doesn’t exist (not in the modern media age, at least). Reagan was a star. Bill Clinton was Elvis. George Bush had that damn Texas swagger. And (as much as conservatives hate to admit it), there’s something about Barry that earned him the reputation as “the biggest celebrity in the world.” Rubio has more star power than any of the likely GOP candidates, and — like it, or not — that matters. Rubio helps fix the problem with young voters. He helps fix the problem with college-educated voters. He would be equally as successful on “Meet the Press” as on MTV or “The View.” The next thing you’ll hear is that Republicans only want him because he’s Hispanic — but his Cuban background will do him no good. Rubio’s ethnicity should be thought of as merely icing on an otherwise terrific cake. He comes from an incredibly important swing state. And he is eloquent and articulate and inspiring. He frames free enterprise, not as a “haves versus have nots” paradigm, but as a way to help everyone achieve the American Dream. I’ve long advocated Thatcher’s maxim that “first you win the argument, then you win the vote.” Mitt Romney surely couldn’t win the argument. And though George W. Bush won elections and votes, he skipped winning the argument (a fatal conceit.) The best conservatives, like Ronald Reagan, can teach and persuade the American public to follow them. Rubio has this gift. Now the Hispanic thing. The argument that Rubio’s Cuban background does not automatically guarantee Hispanic support is, of course, correct. I wrote about this years ago when I interviewed Carlos Eire, a Yale professor and author of “Learning to Die in Miami,” “Marco Rubio is a white guy, and the Mexicans and Central Americans who love to think of themselves as ‘brown’ or as a separate race (La Raza), are not going to gravitate to Rubio just because his parents spoke Spanish at home,” Eire told me. “There are serious reasons for those 17 different countries south of the border [retaining] their separate identities and autonomy,” he said, adding: “I don’t know a single ‘Hispanic’ who thinks of himself or herself as anything other than someone from a specific country: Peru, Guatemala, Argentina, Colombia…” If the goal is to attract the most Hispanics based solely on the candidate’s race, and play “identity politics,” then a Mexican-American candidate would be a much better bet. But I don’t think that’s the goal — nor should it be. (In my estimation, the most serious problem Rubio has to overcome is explaining his close friendship with the ethically-challenged former Rep. David Rivera. Were I advising the senator, this is the one area that would cause me the most concern. He will have to navigate this carefully.) Ultimately, it comes down to vision. Yes, Rubio is fluent in Spanish — and that’s important inasmuch as it would make it easier for him to effectively communicate his message to a larger audience. But it is the message that matters, and here, Rubio’s has a compelling argument for a nation of immigrants — for all of us: America is the last bastion of hope, and we can all achieve the American Dream — if we preserve the freedom that makes that all possible… Read more: http://dailycaller.com/2012/11/15/why-rubio-is-a-frontrunner/#ixzz2CZwAMzYn |

Eric Holder Feb. ’09: “we continue to be essentially a nation of cowards”
“COWARD OF THE COUNTRY”
(music by Kenny Rogers)
Everyone considered him the coward of the country..
He never prosecuted a single time to prove the country wrong 😦
Obama named him AG, but the folks just called him yellow..
Somethin’ always told us, we weren’t readin’ Eric WithHolder wrong….
It was over ten years ago, when he sprung Marc Rich from prison..
He looked after Clinton, ’cause he was the favored one..
I still recall the final words, Slick Willie said to WithHolder..
Son, my political life is over, but yours is just begun….
CHORUS:
Promise me son, to cover-up the things I’ve done..
Walkin’ guns can be trouble if Issa’s probe expands..
Now don’t ya ever look weak, never turn the other cheek..
New Black Panthers are bold enough to poll place stand..
Son, our “social justice” fight is in yours hands….
There were lots a guns for cartel thugs, and “fast&furious” got messy..
With folded arms he dared them, to prove it was his plan..
One day while he was CYA’in, Issa’s boys came callin’..
They took turns at WithHolder… “n’ there was a whole committee of them!”
Issa opened up the door cause he knew documents were hidin’..
Border agent death, the shattered lives, was more than he could stand..
But Obama reached & was out of place, and threw down his “executive privilege”..
With that familiar smirk on his face, WithHolder heard these words again:
Promise me son, to cover up the things I’ve done..
Walkin’ guns can be trouble if issa’s probe expands..
Now don’t make me look weak, never turn the other cheek..
New Black Panthers are bold enough to poll place stand..
Son, our “social justice” fight is in your hands..
Now New Yorkers just yelled at him, when he tried turnin’ ground-zero into a courtroom.. 😦
They all got up, and met him, all the way protest soared..
When WithHolder turned around they said “hey score one for good ol’ reason”..
And you coulda heard a pin drop, as Obama had to keep terrorists locked behind Gitmo’s door….
Eight long years of Bush “torture,” was eatin’ up inside him..
He wasn’t holdin’ nothin’ back, top-secret documents, he declassified ’em all! :(….
When TolderHolder left the pressroom, not an “enhanced interrogation program” was standin’… 😦
He said, “this one’s for our Looney base,” and he didn’t return any CIA calls……
And we heard him say:
I promised you once, I’d cover-up the things we’ve done..
Walkin’ guns coulda been trouble if we’d let the House investigation expand..
Now we never looked weak.. cause I didn’t turn the other cheek..
Gov Brewer and her immigration law sure understands…
Our “social justice” fight, I’ll execute it across this land!……
EVERYONE CONSIDERS HIM, THE COWARD OF THE COUNTRY…
| Medical supply giant Stryker is the latest company to announce job cuts in anticipation of coming costs associated with ObamaCare, even though the man who inherited a fortune from the company’s founder is a fan.
The company will cut 1,170 jobs, or five percent of its worldwide workforce, despite the fact that the founder’s grandson was one of the largest contributors to President Obama’s re-election campaign. Medical tech scion Jon Stryker, whose net worth is currently estimated at $1.2 billion, contributed $2 million to the Priorities USA Action super PAC and has given $66,000 in contributions to Obama and the Democratic Party. Stryker does not run the company. A “medical device excise tax” included in the mandate imposes a 2.3 percent levy on medical device manufacturers and suppliers, which critics say will raise prices on everything from pacemakers to prosthetics to stents. Companies will be required to pay the tax regardless if they have a profit or loss for the year. The tax is estimated to cost the medical device industry $20 billion. House Republicans tried to have the tax repealed, drafting a bill called the Protect Medical Innovation Act, but the Democrat-controlled Senate has blocked the measure. “The targeted reductions and other restructuring activities are being initiated to provide efficiencies and realign resources in advance of the new Medical Device Excise Tax scheduled to begin in 2013, as well as to allow for continued investment in strategic areas and drive growth despite the ongoing challenging economic environment and market slowdown in elective procedures,” Stryker spokeswoman Yin Becker told FoxNews.com. “The reductions and restructuring activities are expected to be substantially complete by the end of 2012.” Executives for Stryker have placed the blame squarely on the coming tax ever since it gained more steam in Washington. “Here we are, one of the greatest industries in the country, and we’re staring down on Jan. 1, 2013 and the addition of a 2.3 percent excise tax, while meanwhile on the other side all the discussion in Washington is about creating jobs,” Stryker President and CEO Stephen McMillian said during a national conference of medical device manufacturers in Washington, D.C. last September. Positions within the company were eliminated altogether after the announcement and have since contracted out many of their current roster of employees to keep costs down, an employee with Stryker, who spoke to FoxNews.com under the condition of anonymity, said. “They really trimmed the fat with the last layoffs in 2009 and the year after which is probably why we are finally on budget for the first time since 1999,” the employee added. Jon Stryker has been active in politics before the recent election; he contributing millions to help Democratic candidates in his home state of Michigan. He also has given nearly $250 million of his personal wealth to groups supporting gay rights and the conservation of apes, which led to a newly found species being named after him. In 2010, the discovered Myanmar Snub-nosed monkey was named Rhinopithecus strykeri by the research teams that were funded by Stryker’s Arcus Foundation. |

The president is convinced Americans need to pay more in taxes. Here’s what he said yesterday.
“I think everybody out there understood that was an important debate and the majority of voters agreed with me. By the way, more voters agreed with me on this issue than voted for me! So we’ve got a clear majority of the American people who recognize if we’re gonna be serious about deficit reduction we gotta do it in a balanced way.”
But let me tell you, come January 1, you’re probably not going to be happy with the amount of taxes you’re paying. That’s because it’s not just Federal taxes that you pay.
A middle class taxpayer pays 25% percent of their income in Federal Income Tax. Sounds, ok?
Then there is the Federal Social Security and Medicare payroll tax of 13.3%. You pick up 5.65% while you’re employer pays 7.65%. Add them up and that’s 38.3% of middle class family incomes going to Uncle Sam. But we aren’t done, not by a long shot.
According to the Tax Foundation, the average state’s income tax rate on the middle class is 4.82%. Of course, some states have it and some don’t, but we’re taking an average here.
Now the total: 43.12% of middle class income to taxes.
Oh, and I almost forgot, unless congress makes a move, Federal Income taxes go to 28% for middle income folks next year as the Bush tax cuts expire.
Neither party has said they want that to happen, but in Washington, well, you never know.
Also the payroll tax for those folks will go to 15.3% from 13.3%percent.
Did I mention state, property, corporate, and excise taxes? No?
All told, next year, total taxes will go to almost 50% for the middle class; the very group that the president says he wants to protect. That means 50 cents out of every dollar earned has to go to the government. Half of everything will go to an entity that didn’t earn that money, and shouldn’t be entitled to all that dough.
Unbelievable. You think most Americans agree that’s fair?
I don’t think so.
GOOD FOR HER!
“I put the magazine in my gun. I cocked it,” the woman said in an interview Thursday night. “I said, ‘You need to leave or Ill shoot you. I’m going to blow your brains out.’ ”
“Oh, [expletive]!” the man declared, before running away.
The woman, whose name is being withheld by the paper because she is the victim of a sex crime, said she has never before brought her gun, a Ruger .380, with her to the lake, but she grabbed it on her way out the door Wednesday because it was foggy and dark.
“I just had a feeling,” she said.
| “Most employees who lose their jobs should be eligible for government-provided unemployment benefits,” Hostess said. |
Sen. John McCain launched a fierce counterattack on Barack Obama yesterday after Obama arrogantly called McCain’s criticism of U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice “outrageous” and said critics of Rice should “go after me.”
McCain, speaking on the Senate floor, went straight for the jugular:
“This president — this administration — has either been guilty of colossal incompetence or been engaged in a coverup, neither of which is acceptable to the American people. I speak as a friend of Christopher Stevens, I speak as a person who knows something about warfare, I speak as something of an authority — that this attack could have been prevented if the information on the ground had been taken into consideration.”
McCain wants a congressional Select Committee to investigate what happened in Benghazi and how the Obama Administration reacted. Paraphrasing Senator Howard Baker of Tennessee during the Watergate investigation, he said bluntly:
There clearly is a need because there is a huge credibility gap among the American people because of the [contradictory statements about the attacks] beginning with the President of the United States. What did the president know? When did he know about it? And what did he do about it?
McCain then reminded Obama that although he is the president, he is not the king:
He really does not have any idea of how serious this issue is. I’m a United States Senator. We have our responsibilities, we have our duties, and we are not picking on anyone here.
And McCain connected the dots by noting that whatever Rice said, her marching orders came from upstairs:
Those talking points did not come from the CIA, they came from the White House. Who at the White House gave her those talking points?
Obama might do well not to cross a man who’s survived more serious issues than a verbal attack.
As the media goes apoplectic over Mitt Romney’s “outrageously racist and insensitive” belief that — gasp — Obama might’ve looted the Treasury to purchase the coalition that helped win him a second term, Ron Meyer at CNS News actually did some, you know, reporting:
If all 47 million food stamp recipients voted for President Obama, it would account for 75.4 percent of Obama’s 62.3 million votes.
Harry Hopkins, FDR’s close adviser who ran the non-defunct Works Progress Administration (WPA), once described Roosevelt’s strategy as “tax & tax, spend & spend, elect & elect.” He believed that if Roosevelt put everyone on the federal payroll, either through aid or federal jobs, that Roosevelt would never lose. FDR won four presidential elections in a row before his death removed him from office.
Did Obama use his idol’s model to win this election?
Food stamps rolls have grown by nearly 50 percent-by more than 15 million recipients-under the Obama administration. During that same time, the unemployment rate has stayed the same. Either those outside of the workforce have been decimated by the Obama economy or this administration is making a conscious effort to get more Americans reliant on government. Or both.
Welfare programs now cost taxpayers a record-high $750 billion. While government “charity” has grown, so has poverty-and so has the Democrats’ poll numbers.
The candidates and their PACs spent $6 billion for the election. Should we add the $750 billion in federal welfare to Democratic campaign spending total?
Between his illegal granting of amnesty (which I agree with in principle), allowing young people to remain on their parents’ health insurance well into their twenties, all this welfare spending, and a union bailout disguised as an auto bailout — of course Obama purchased votes. And of course that was all part of The Plan. There’s no question government dependancy empowers the State which in turn empowers Democrats, and there’s no question this fact motivates the Left and always has.
Obama used the recession as an excuse to spread the drug of government spending and the addicts will now protect the dealer at all costs. These tax loopholes for corporations and Hollywood, and these lame-brained farm subsidies all do the same thing.
From the skyscrapers of Manhattan to the film studios of La La Land to the farm fields and auto plants of the Midwest to the elite college campus and our inner-cities — we’re becoming a nation of pathetic Welfare Queens.
Worse still, as we’ve seen from the reaction to Romney, it’s the Welfare Queens who are now the protected class and self-made Americans like Romney who are demonized.
Man alive, that’s a depressing fact.

Immigration reform is path to oblivion.

Republicans are on the verge of committing suicide. In the wake of President Obama’s re-election, many conservatives are demanding the GOP embrace amnesty for illegal aliens. The official term is “comprehensive immigration reform.”
Sean Hannity has now “evolved” on the issue. Others, such as Dick Morris and Charles Krauthammer, are ringing the alarm bells: Get in front on amnesty before the GOP is swamped by the surging Latino vote. House Speaker John A. Boehner said last week that comprehensive immigration reform is “long overdue.” Translation: Beltway Republicans are ready to wave the white flag of surrender.
The pro-amnesty crowd argues that the GOP lost the election because it failed to court the Hispanic vote. The party’s supposed harsh rhetoric against illegal aliens is said to have driven millions of Latinos into the Democratic camp. This supposedly explains why Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney lost Nevada, Ohio, Iowa and Florida. A more flexible GOP, one embracing immigration reform — so the argument goes — is the key to a return to national power and electoral viability. Plus, they stress that ignoring the 12 million to 20 million illegal immigrants in the country is no longer feasible — this growing subpopulation must be taken out of the shadows.
The very opposite, however, is true: Granting amnesty is not an option, either practically or politically. Polls consistently show that a strong majority of Americans reject providing illegal aliens with a path to citizenship. The reason is simple: Such a policy would reward criminal behavior. It would eradicate America’s national sovereignty, telling the world that our borders exist in name only. Come and stay here long enough, and in big enough numbers, and amnesty is inevitable.
Moreover, the rule of law would be undermined — shattered. Illegal immigrants are not “undocumented workers.” They broke our laws to enter America. This is why amnesty — no matter how it’s dressed up — would inevitably trigger a furious public backlash. Granting amnesty threatens to further splinter our already-fractured nation.
Politically, it is disastrous for the GOP. Republicans have been down this failed road before. In 1986, then-President Reagan passed amnesty for roughly 3 million illegal immigrants. The results? A border fence was never built. The decision became a magnet, an incentive, for millions more to come. The electoral benefits redounded not to the GOP but the Democrats. California — once Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan country — became solid blue. The Southwest turned increasingly Democratic.
The Republicans are unwilling to confront the stark but sad reality that the overwhelming majority of Hispanics vote for Democrats because they are the party of big government. Many Latinos, especially lower-income, lower-skilled ones rely on public housing, free education, Medicare, the earned income tax credit and food stamps. Amnesty is not the primary reason most Latinos vote Democratic. Rather, it is support for the welfare state.
Otherwise, the GOP would be making massive inroads into the Hispanic community. Following Reagan’s amnesty, George H.W. Bush received fewer Hispanic votes than the Gipper did. George W. Bush, who championed open borders and comprehensive immigration reform, barely received 40 percent of the Latino vote. Sen. John McCain, who spearheaded the push for amnesty in Congress, got just over 30 percent in 2008. Hence, the facts are clear — and damning: Pro-amnesty Republicans have not and cannot attract massive chunks of the Hispanic electorate. There is no potential Latino GOP majority — at least for the foreseeable future. To think otherwise is fantasy masquerading as strategy.
Contrary to conventional wisdom, Mr. Romney did not lose because of his weakness with Hispanics, blacks, feminists, unions, homosexuals or any other primarily Democratic constituency. These blocs are part of the liberal coalition.
Mr. Romney lost because he was unable to galvanize the GOP base. He received nearly 3 million fewer votes than Mr. McCain did in 2008. That difference proved to be Mr. Obama’s margin of victory. Had Mr. Romney garnered the same popular vote total as Mr. McCain, the former Massachusetts governor would be president-elect today. No one would be talking about the Republicans’ supposed Hispanic problem. Hence, it wasn’t Mr. Romney’s stance on immigration that cost him the election. Instead, the party establishment put forth a GOP moderate, and millions of conservatives stayed home.
Amnesty is a poisoned chalice. Republicans drink it at their peril. The issue will split the GOP in half. Nationalists, such as myself, will leave and join a third party. Many on the right will follow. Republicans be warned: Comprehensive immigration reform is the path to oblivion.

“I have a choice: try to live within the rules, or go out of business.”
– John Metz, Florida restaurateur
A Florida restaurateur who operates roughly 40 Denny’s locations and five Hurricane Grill & Wings franchises in Florida, Virginia and Georgia intends to add a 5 percent surcharge to customers’ bills to offset costs from ObamaCare beginning in January 2014 when the Affordable Care Act is fully implemented.
“People are trying to find ways to avoid the penalties and to avoid having to pay for ObamaCare,” John Metz told FoxNews.com. “Everyone’s looking for a way to not have to provide insurance for their employees. It’s essentially a huge tax on all us business people.”
To further offset the costs, Metz, who oversees roughly 1,200 employees as president and CEO of RREMC Restaurants, LLC, said he also will slash most of the staff’s time to fewer than 30 hours per week. That change will be announced to employees next month, he said.
“I want to explain it to everybody, to let them know what’s coming down the pike,” he said. “We like to keep our employees informed.”
The changes will force some front-of-the-house employees to look for second jobs, Metz said, but he simply cannot afford the penalties associated with ObamaCare.
“It’s a great concept,” he said. “We want to have everyone insured. The problem is, who is going to pay for it and how are we going to accomplish this?”
Under the current law, employers with more than 50 full-time (or equivalent) workers will be charged a penalty for the number of employees exceeding 30 full-time staffers who are not covered. With an average of 35 full-time employees per location, Metz said the $2,000 penalty would total roughly $70,000 per restaurant. Current coverage costs Metz up to $6,000 annually per full-time employee, he said. He currently provides coverage to about 250 employees.
“It’s going to be a big issue for all of us — for my employees and for me,” said Metz, who has been in the industry since 1975. “The ones that are working more than 28 hours, they’re going to act as if I’m cutting their hours and they’ll have to find another job.”
At Denny’s restaurants operated by Metz, the average check is $9, he said, meaning the ObamaCare surcharge if implemented would be 45 cents on that bill. At Hurricane Grill & Wings locations, where the average bill is $14.50, the surcharge would total 72 cents.
Metz said he believes the entire restaurant industry — even high-end locations — will ultimately embrace the idea.
“That is what I foresee and that is the easier, least painful way to deal with these added costs,” he said. “In a true playing field, everybody will impose this, from McDonald’s to Denny’s to even maybe the fine dining restaurants in order to have the funds to be able to pay for either insurance or the penalty for not providing insurance to their employees.”
Metz also is urging his employees to consider contacting their local elected officials in hopes of finding another solution to offset his looming increased costs.
“It’s never good news, but it is what it is,” Metz said of increasing customers’ checks. “We really should look for a better or different way to pay for [ObamaCare]. I think what we’re going to ultimately see here is a European-type system where we have a value added tax or a national sales tax.”
Metz continued: “I have a choice: try to live within the rules, or go out of business.”
In a statement to FoxNews.com, the National Restaurant Association said it’s “premature” to assess precisely how the health care law will affect individual businesses.
“We have warned for some time that the mechanics of the health care law are very difficult for the restaurant industry, which is a low-margin industry that works to keep costs down in order to provide value to customers,” said Scott DeFife, executive vice president of policy and government affairs for the National Restaurant Association. “All costs, from gas and commodities to labor and insurance, eventually impact the price on the menu. It is important that operators get very familiar with the provisions of the law and start planning for its implementation; however, it’s premature to make a specific assessment of exactly how the law will affect any individual business because there are so many details that are unknown.”

| The Department of Labor has announced that new jobless claims rose by a staggering 78,000 in the week after the election, reaching a seasonally-adjusted total of 439,000. Over the past year, and in the weeks leading up to the election, jobless claims were said to be declining, dipping as low as 339,000, with the media proclaiming they had reached the “lowest level in more than four years.” Now, suddenly, the news is far less rosy.

| Thanks, Obama voters. You just imposed on the rest of us degraded medical care and rising costs. This is no longer hypothetical or abstract. It’s real. It’s the law.
Here are some of the bad repercussions of your vote: 1. Decline in pay for doctors 2. Government health care is inferior We couldn’t afford Medicare or Medicaid. They’re unfunded liabilities by trillions of dollars, when projected into the future. And the solution is — what? To impose a third government insurance program that we can’t afford — ObamaCare? That’s like a working-class family not being able to afford their two cars, so their solution is to buy a third one. The same parade of horrible things listed above shall — shall — happen under Obamacare, coming to its rotten fruition in the next two or three decades. No, this won’t happen overnight. This is why the never-spike-the-ball president was wrong when, at the Obamacare signing, he said he didn’t see the sky fall or the birds stop singing or Armageddon. Of course the decline won’t happen by tomorrow. But the degradation shall happen. Though it is hard to bear for leftist utopians, sometimes there are no ultimate solutions to social inequalities from big government. Maybe the solution was to keep the local family clinics so that when a homeless guy, reaching into a dumpster, cuts his hand on glass, he can go to the clinic and gets his stitches. Yes, we can have soup kitchens too. However, ObamaCare doesn’t fix the problem. Utopian dreams and schemes can be worse than the problem, the cure worse than the disease. Dr. Frankenstein cried, “It’s alive! It’s alive!” Then the monster was unleashed. Thanks, Obama voters. You just unleashed the monster. more: http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/11/this_is_your_life_under_obamacare.html#ixzz2CISrPsWm |
House Budget Committee chair Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) has rejected President Barack Obama’s demand to raise taxes as part of Obama’s proposal to achieve $1.6 trillion in additional tax revenues to avoid the “fiscal cliff.”Instead, Ryan backed Speaker John Boehner’s position, which is that any new tax revenues must be achieved without passing higher tax rates. In an exclusive statement to Breitbart News, Ryan specified that new revenues should come through economic growth and tax reform, not tax hikes:

The National Football League (NFL), the National Hockey League (NHL), and the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) classify themselves as non-profit organizations to exempt themselves from federal income taxes on earnings. Smaller sports leagues, such as the National Lacrosse League, are also using the tax status. Taxpayers may be losing at least $91 million subsidizing these tax loopholes for professional sports leagues that generate billions of dollars annually in profits.28 Taxpayers should not be asked to subsidize sports organizations already benefiting widely from willing fans and turning a profit, while claiming to be non-profit organizations.

2014 and Beyond: Containment and Rollback
The election is over. The teeth gnashing and circular firing squads should end, too. Now we have to work together to develop a strategy for the years ahead — one that Ronald Reagan would endorse: containment followed by rollback.
At the onset, there were silver linings on Election Day that should not be dismissed. Barack Obama does not have a mandate. Obama won with nearly 7.5 million fewer votes than he had in 2008 — the only president to win reelection with fewer votes than he had when first elected. Jim Geraghty at National Review notes that a mere 407,000 more Romney votes in four swing states would have landed him the Presidency. Thirty states now have Republican Governors, an all-time high. In 23 of those states Republicans also control both houses of the state legislature.
Obamacare is still very unpopular. Higher taxes are not favored, according to exit polls, regardless of Obama’s claim to the contrary. Unions failed to get two constitutional amendments passed by voters in heavily unionized Michigan; the charter school movement scored wins in Washington and Georgia. The highlight of the evening was the continued GOP control of the House of Representatives.
Recriminations and Monday-morning quarterbacking have been going on for a week to explain how the Presidency was lost.
Hispanics, blacks, women — all were susceptible to the various claims that Mitt Romney was going to wage war on them. They, along with many whites, apparently felt that Romney could neither relate to nor care about them (the 47% comment did not help). Romney did not combat the negative portrait being painted of him on screens across America early enough in the campaign. He was a plutocrat during a time when many Americans struggle to pay bills.
The primaries forced Romney to shift right on immigration (especially when Rick Perry entered the contest) when much of the rest of America was reconsidering their views on immigration and adapting to the reality that self-deportation was not just an odd word but also an unworkable concept. Obama’s Get Out The Vote Effort was potent compared to the Republican effort. Obama’s “Moneyball” victory (his use of data and social media to fuel his election) dwarfed the faulty and bug-ridden so-called Orca effort of Romney’s. The primary became a circus — too long, too boring, and perhaps a few too many candidates. The media had plenty of material to stereotype Republicans and were all out for Obama, ignoring Benghazi and the grieving parents asking questions of the President (compare and contrast to the beatification of Cindy Sheehan; the obsessive attention paid to Valerie Plame); the deep-sixing of news on Hurricane Sandy once Obama landed for a brief photo-op and Christie bear hug (the hug that may very well have cost Christie a future nomination for the Presidency). Bad demographics for a Republican Party seen, with some justification, as too old, too regional, and too white.
All true — yet Romney would be president had just a few hundred thousand voters come to the polls in swing states and given him their vote.
Despair is not a Republican virtue. Nixon/Ford was followed by Carter and massive Democratic dominance in Congress. Yet a few years later came the Reagan Revolution that no less than Obama credited as being transformative.
The defeat last Tuesday was a setback; not a debacle.
Republicans should do some soul-searching and then throw themselves into the battle for the future of America.
How?
Many pundits are counseling Hispanic outreach. There should always be outreach to all Americans, not just Hispanics. But Hispanics are the fastest-growing demographic group in America and can be swing voters in swing states. It is heartening to see that Republican leaders have announced plans to work on immigration reform — certainly the language and approach can be more sensitive (“self-deportation” should be banned). A solution to this issue would take away ammo from the Democrats. Republican ranks are filled with highly accomplished Hispanics that can lead the way: not just Marco Rubio and New Mexican Governor Susana Martinez but also the newly elected Senator from Texas, Ted Cruz. Rand Paul, a favorite of the grassroots, favors a path to citizenship-providing cover for the GOP leadership
Republicans should avoid making the mistakes of Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock when discussing abortion. Legitimate rape is an abominable term that was a deal killer for many people who might have considered casting a vote for Akin. Republican primary voters should have been alerted that the Democrats were spending over a million dollars to help Akin win the GOP primary for a very good reason: he was a loose cannon they knew would eventually blow up. Mourdock was a better candidate but blew his chance when making an awkward statement that was easily twisted by the Democrats and the media to make him unpalatable to voters.
These were winnable contests in red states. The Republicans have to avoid future fiascos (they and the Tea Partiers should have learned from Nevada’s Republican candidate Sharron Angle and Delaware’s Christine O’Donnell that picking bad candidates leads to a nasty hangover). The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) was excoriated for backing Chris Christie over Marco Rubio in 2010 and so has backed away from actively involving itself in GOP primaries for risk of offending the grassroots and Tea Party again. Rubio seems to have gotten over it and so should the grassroots. Tea Party reps and the NRSC have to have an adult conversation and work together the next cycle. Politico reports the most likely solution is to “enlist conservative outside groups to try to steer electable candidates towards nomination.” Rahm Emanuel was a superb talent scout for the Democrats in finding winning candidates. Certainly, there are Republicans who would serve their party just as well. Viability and electability should be job requirements.
All is not lost. As Politico’s Alexander Burns writes:
The good news for the GOP, such as it is: it took Democrats exactly two years to go from losing the presidential race and losing ground in the Senate in 2004, to reclaiming both houses of Congress in 2006. So these things can move fast, if parties do what they have to do to adapt.
The better news is the GOP has a second chance to score significant victories in two years. Aaron Blake of the Washington Post looks at the political landscape that could prove fruitful for the GOP:
While the map was difficult for Democrats this year, it’s murderous in 2014.
Here’s the breakdown:
– 20 Democrats will be up for reelection, compared to 13 Republicans.
– 12 of those 20 Democrats come from either red states (six) or swing states (six).
– Only one of the 13 Republicans comes from a state that isn’t red, and that’s Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), whose seat is basically safe unless she retires.
Top GOP targets are likely to include Democratic Sens. Mark Begich (Alaska), Mark Pryor (Ark.), Mary Landrieu (La.), Max Baucus (Mont.), Tim Johnson (S.D.), Mark Udall (Colo.), Al Franken (Minn.), Jeanne Shaheen (N.H.) and Kay Hagan (N.C.). Five of the nine are first-term senators, and Republicans have already got a strong potential candidate against Johnson, with former governor Mike Rounds launching an exploratory committee last week.)
Republicans could also have a chance at winning the seats of Sens. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.) and Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), particularly if either of them (both are in their 70s) retire.
The Senate provides a target-rich environment for the Republicans in 2014 and the Democrats won’t have Barack Obama on the ballot to help them rally voters (witness 2010’s red tide).
Meanwhile, the House can be used to contain Barack Obama and the Senate Democrats.
The House has become a “refuge” for Republicans in the words of Michael Barone. There are several structural advantages that have led to the GOP controlling the House in 8 of the past 10 elections (among them is that Democrats tend to be concentrated into certain districts; hence the wide red blotches on electoral maps).
From their perch in the House, the Republicans can check some of the more aggressive Obama policies through their power to originate spending bills (threaten funding for the EPA, for example), fully use their power to subpoena and investigate the administration over its actions (Chairman Darrell Issa of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee is indefatigable and one hopes will illuminate more Obama failures beyond Fast and Furious and Benghazi; Paul Ryan as Chairman of the Budget Committee will make clear to Americans how damaging President Obama has been to our future), and the ultimate power to “just say no” to furthering Obama’s agenda. The House served as a check on Obama the last two years; there is no reason it cannot do so again.
The Republicans will also be in a position to benefit politically from Obama’s failed policies.
Already, there has been a mini-tsunami of layoffs stemming from Obama’s victory (that some employers have informed their employees was due to Obama’s win), as well as a trillion dollar loss in the world’s stock markets. Obama wins and millions of people lose — that should be graffiti on any future monuments to him.
Obama has postponed a lot of decisions until after the election. There has been a lot of talk about the fiscal cliff but few comments on the regulatorycliff. A slew of regulations have already begun spewing forth. The EPA has “delayed” regulations affecting a wide variety of industries (including rules on fracking and clean air regs) but the zealots there will soon be let loose from their election handcuffs.
After Obama won, the Interior Department issued a plan to close oil shale development on 1.6 million acres of federal land.
Obama will be compelled to finally make a final decision on the XL pipeline.
All these decisions will have political consequences — potentially painful ones for Obama and the Democrats if the Republicans can tie them to job losses, higher energy prices and less personal income.
Parties in Obama’s coalition have different interests; environmentalists will be upset if XL is approved; union members will be furious at the jobs lost if XL is killed. Political coalitions can be fragile and sunder over time.
Now that Obamacare is rolling out, people will begin to feel the baleful consequences of its provisions. Readers of conservative media know what they are but many other people who probably voted for Obama do not. They soon will.
Do all those young people, besotted by Barack, realize they will be on the hook for thousands of dollars if they do not have insurance? Given the many videos circulating that display their appalling lack of knowledge of the real world, one can surmise that many of them are blissfully ignorant of the due bill coming to them.
When people look for full-time work, will they find that what few jobs available are for fewer than 30 hours a week? When onerous Obamacare requirements kick in for employers of more than 50 full-time employees, full-time being defined as 30 hours of work a week for purposes of Obamacare (a lax work schedule that Obama himself seems to follow), will that be disillusioning?
As the months go by, more burdens of Obamacare will impact people (among them, not being able to keep the health insurance offered by your employer; IRS reporting requirements; longer waits; denial of care; increased taxes on house sales; difficulty in finding doctors; and who knows how many rules and regulations to be issued by Health and Human Services).
Furthermore Republicans need not cooperate in rolling out Obamacare. They can contain the damage by refusing to set up state health exchanges and burden the federal government with one more unsustainable responsibility. Republicans should allow Obama and the Democrats to live with the mess they made rather than clean it up for them, suggests Philip Klein of the Washington Examiner
Taxes will also be going up. The Obamacare tax hikes are coming regardless of any possible termination of the Bush tax cuts. The temporary payroll tax cut that was agreed to in 2011 will end; people will see less money in their paychecks. That will get attention. If we go off the fiscal cliff, taxes will soar and a recession will ensue: Obama will be the president that oversaw that disaster.
People might be inclined to respond that a poor economy did not cost Obama the election last week. So why should the Democrats suffer blowback in the future?
As noted, many problems and much pain have been postponed until after Obama won. They are now on the horizon.
Alas, Mitt Romney was far from a perfect candidate for President. Romney is not a natural. He lost the primary in 2008 to John McCain; lost a Senate race to Ted Kennedy, and dropped out before he would lose the Massachusetts gubernatorial race to Deval Patrick.
Also, exit polls and surveys reveal that many people still blame George Bush for economic problems. But there has to be a half-life to the Blame Bush meme. Eventually people will blame Obama for the mess he inherited from himself. Patience wears thin when people cannot find work and find the decline in personal income continuing to crush them (in the words of Joe Biden).
Then rollback can happen.
The Senate might just flip-one can hope that the Republicans get their act together. Better candidates, better GOTV efforts, better messages, better use of modern technology-all will be needed. One positive bit of news: Rience Priebus-who has done a remarkable job in strengthening the Republican national Committee-looks likely to stay on.
Come 2016, the Republicans have a good bench at the Presidential level: Mike Pence, governor of Indiana and a man who can bridge the divide between the Tea Party and the GOP; Paul Ryan; Virginia Governor Bob McConnell; Ohio’s Bob Portman; Marco Rubio (in George Will’s view the big winner on Tuesday night) are among them.
Who do the Democrats have? Hillary Clinton most probably. Will she inherit Obama’s base? She will be able to garner support among women, but how about the youth and African-Americans? They did not come out to support Democrats in 2010. They did not support her enough in 2008. She will be approaching 70. Obama’s coalition may not be Clinton’s.
Will Bill Clinton’s work on behalf of Obama be remembered or appreciated in four years? Will Obama actively campaign for Clinton? Given his nature and narcissism, that is doubtful. There is little warmth between them and Obama is unlikely to forget slights from 2008.
Beyond that speculation, how likely will America return the same party to power as President three terms in a row?
So…my advice and appeal to Republicans:
Do not despair, brush yourself off, stand up, be counted, stay true to your principles and ideals, work hard and win one for the Gipper in 2016.

| Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer on Tuesday said the White House used David Petraeus’s affair to get the CIA director to give testimony about the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that was in line with the administration’s position on the matter. Appearing on Fox News’s Special Report, Krauthammer said, “The sword was lowered on Election Day” (video follows with transcript and commentary): CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: I think the really shocking news today was that General Petraeus thought and hoped he could keep his job. He thought that it might and it would be kept secret, and that he could stay in his position. I think what that tells us is really important. It meant that he understood that the FBI obviously knew what was going on. He was hoping that those administration officials would not disclose what had happened, and therefore hoping that he would keep his job. And that meant that he understood that his job, his reputation, his legacy, his whole celebrated life was in the hands of the administration, and he expected they would protect him by keeping it quiet. And that brings us to the ultimate issue, and that is his testimony on September 13. That’s the thing that connects the two scandals, and that’s the only thing that makes the sex scandal relevant. Otherwise it would be an exercise in sensationalism and voyeurism and nothing else. The reason it’s important is here’s a man who knows the administration holds his fate in its hands, and he gives testimony completely at variance with what the Secretary of Defense had said the day before, at variance with what he’d heard from his station chief in Tripoli, and with everything that we had heard. Was he influenced by the fact that he knew his fate was held by people within the administration at that time? As a point of reference, ABCNews.com reported on September 14: This of course was the administration line for almost two weeks after the attacks. If Krauthammer is correct, it’s going to be very interesting to see if and how the Obama-loving media reports it. |
John Boehner has been willing to throw his conference under the bus repeatedly. We know from the Bob Woodward book that he was willing to raise taxes. We know he cut a deal with Barack Obama without consulting the rest of his conference. We know it blew up in his face.
We know he now doesn’t even want to fight Obamacare, calling it the “law of the land.” We know he only walked back that statement because of the outrage that ensued.
We know he wants to start putting moderates into leadership positions like Cathy McMorris Rodgers instead of Tom Price. We know he is demanding conservatives “get in line”.
House Republicans are being badly served by John Boehner.
Paul Ryan managed to get through a brutal Presidential campaign with higher favorables than the incumbent Vice President, saw senior citizens actually gravitate to him instead of runaway from him and his proposals, and Paul Ryan is actually speaking up defending conservative values, ideals, and principles while John Boehner is trying to muddy them and compromise them away.
House Republicans should think very carefully if the faux-tanned face of John Boehner is the face they want for their party in the next two years. They should consider Paul Ryan as their Speaker.

Keep in mind that only slightly more than half of able-bodied taxpayers pay federal income tax…

President Barack Obama plans to open talks over the tax component of the so-called “fiscal cliff” by calling for $1.6 trillion in new tax revenue over the coming decade, according to reports late Tuesday. The Wall Street Journal and Washington Post reported separately that Obama’s figure for additional taxes is likely to meet with strong Republican opposition, as it is double the amount proposed during failed closed-door talks with GOP leaders during debt negotiations in mid-2011. Rather, the $1.6 trillion is based on Obama’s most recent budget proposal, the reports said. The Washington Post also quoted Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell as saying Obama shouldn’t overplay his hand, as the budget proposal in question failed to gain any votes in Congress when it was issued this spring. Reuters quoted McConnell as saying Republicans were “not about to further weaken the economy by raising tax rates and hurting jobs.”
HOW could that man get reelected???
—
The Treasury Department said Tuesday that the October deficit — the gap between the government’s tax revenue and its spending — was 22 percent higher than the same month last year.
Tax revenue increased to $184.3 billion — 13 percent greater than the same month last year. Still, spending also rose to $304.3 billion, a 16.4 percent jump. The budget year begins on Oct. 1. Officials said last year’s figures were held down by a quirk in the calendar: the first day of October fell on a Saturday, which resulted in some benefits being paid in September 2011.
The deficit, in simplest terms, is the amount of money the government has to borrow when revenues fall short of expenses. The government ran a $1.1 trillion annual budget deficit in fiscal year that ended in September. That was lower than the previous year but still painfully high by historical standards.
Obama’s presidency has coincided with four straight $1 trillion-plus deficits — the first in history and record he had to vigorously defend during his successful re-election campaign.

http://www.wnd.com/2012/11/heres-how-touchscreens-killed-romney-votes/
A Chicago voting-machine tech is sounding the alarm, claiming he witnessed multiple error messages on the voting touch-screens this election – but only in cases where people voted for Mitt Romney.
WND reported just a day ago about an observer who noted up to 10 percent of the ballots cast at a polling station in Pennsylvania reverted to a default, which gave Barack Obama a vote no matter who the voter had selected.
The poll watcher reported the incident took place in the state where officials claimed Obama got a total of 19,605 votes in 59 voting divisions to zero for Mitt Romney and not far from the 100 precincts in Ohio where Obama got 99 percent of the vote, a feat not even achieved by Third-World dictators, according to Market Daily News.
With evidence mounting that the vote tabulation did not reflect the true choices of voters, talk-radio icon Rush Limbaugh echoed the Daily News, saying Monday:
“Third-world, tin-horn dictators don’t get [these percentages]. I mean, the last guy that got this percentage of the vote was Saddam Hussein, and the people that didn’t vote for him got shot. This just doesn’t happen. Even Hugo Chavez [of Venezuela] doesn’t get 100 percent or 99 percent of the vote.”

| It’s traditional for Americans to threaten to move to France or Canada when their candidate loses, but this year some disappointed voters are implementing a different plan. In the wake of the Nov. 6 election, petitions seeking to secede from the union have been filed on behalf of 23 states on the White House website, https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petitions. Most of the petitions contain the same wording and ask to withdraw “peacefully” from the United States in order to form independent governments. | It is now an unquestionable reality that the United States is no longer the beacon of freedom and hope for all mankind. As America careens toward not only a fiscal cliff, but a societal one, theories abound as to why, including changing demographics and technology. But the answer is relatively simple: an increasing number of people in the United States, in their pursuit of lives of relative ease, have turned their backs on the basic rules of human behavior as espoused by Judeo-Christian teachings and have instead placed more and more trust in man. The moral fiber of a country, and the religious basis upon which the United States and European nations developed, is being replaced by a misguided faith in people. Although mankind has accomplished great things, the human race has always been overwhelmingly susceptible to its base nature. The historic consequence of repudiating established moral and ethical guidelines is a society that gradually and inevitably becomes devoid of humility, honor, decency and respect for the uniqueness of all mankind. Within that society, the governing class inexorably develops an unrestrained craving for power and self-aggrandizement which ultimately manifests itself in the subjugation of the populace–either by force or the exploitation of the primary human foibles of greed, envy and lust coupled with state control of the means of individual livelihood. The major casualty of this evolutionary process is the abandonment of God-given rights of life and liberty eventuating in a collapse or violent overthrow of the society. In the most recent national election cycle the Democrats and the Obama re-election team, with the complicity of the media, cast aside any pretext of honor and integrity as they, utilizing today’s all-encompassing media world, engaged in the most deceptive and unethical campaign in recent American history. In order to maintain their grip on power the end justified any means. Including playing on and exacerbating the fears and foibles of the populace while promoting government, controlled by the Democratic Party, as the source of salvation and survival. The message being conveyed to an ever larger portion of a willing and susceptible American population is: there are no restraints on personal behavior and it is acceptable, using the auspices of government, to forcefully take from one group and give to another. In fact by the mere circumstance of living in America one is entitled to a livelihood and a vast panoply of rights as defined by and granted by the government. As this mindset takes hold in any country, a calamitous cycle begins. In order to satisfy the unleashed greed and envy of more and more people and to fulfill unsustainable promises, the governing class must tax, spend and borrow at an ever-increasing rate until they can no longer borrow on the open market or tax a rapidly diminishing producer class. At that point either the nation descends into chaos or revolution or its leadership embarks on war and conquest. Over the past century, the nations of Europe, by tolerating the ascendancy of man’s ignoble nature, experienced the near-total destruction of a continent and the loss of countless millions of lives in two wars, and the emergence of communism. Yet today, many of these same nations are again facing tumult and instability. Their ruling classes and populations have become almost universally agnostic, as the pursuit of an unfettered lifestyle has become the new religion. Further, an overwhelming percentage of the people look to and rely on government to satisfy their needs and their expectation of an ever-growing standard of living. These needs and expectations can no longer be met as these nations are now bankrupt. They have destroyed their economic base attempting to placate the populace and honor their unsustainable promises. Rather than face reality, these governments and their citizens do not have the fortitude and determination to make the difficult choices and change course, as they live in societies that have repudiated the ethical and moral guidelines that should govern human behavior and were once the foundation of these nations. Their descent into chaos is unstoppable. Unfortunately, a majority of the American people, as revealed in the most recent national election, whose numbers have consistently increased over the past twenty years, are choosing to follow in the footsteps of European political, economic and moral failings. In the post-mortems following the re-election of Barack Obama, many Republicans and conservatives were focused on the usual platitudes of better messaging or to be more “inclusive” as the solutions to winning future elections and reversing the course of the nation. Nothing could be further from the truth. The American left dominates the cultural and political scene because they exploit and appeal to the most fundamental trait of the human race: the desire to survive and prosper with the least amount of effort and hardship. No amount of conservative messaging or supposed inclusion will counter that human impulse as long as the government, controlled by its current leadership, can tax, print and borrow money while convincing the people all is under control, there are no behavioral boundaries, and as for whatever problems that do exist — they are the fault of the greedy, self-centered and anachronistic political opposition. The United States is now at the point where the last chance to avoid an ignominious fate is for the nation to descend to the depths of experiencing first-hand the early stages of the turmoil and suffering extant in Europe and elsewhere. Perhaps when reality does finally set in, the people will turn to the leadership of their fellow citizens who are still committed to the nation’s founding tenets. Unlike Europe, there remains in America a large swath of the populace that lives by and understand the importance of not only the moral underpinnings but the historical success of individual liberty and freedom. However, in order to weather the potential catastrophe looming over the horizon and the tumult inherent in a requisite change of direction, the American people must begin to acknowledge that throughout history, the key to peace and prosperity lies in a relationship with God and striving to live by traditional moral and ethical guidelines. In the 1840’s Alexis de Tocqueville wrote: “Liberty cannot be established without morality, nor morality without faith.” Once established, liberty cannot be sustained without a just and moral society. How do we know God’s will? Were the Nazi death camps God’s will? Or maybe God’s will was to avert them before they started had the politicians not been appeasers and America not waited until Pearl Harbor? I think we’re supposed to follow what’s in our hearts as long as we cross-check it with the Bible and Christian counsel. Maybe America’s not supposed to last but maybe we’re supposed to fight for it as well! It’s frustrating not knowing while the jerks all seem to be eating their cake and enjoying it. Yuk it up Moochelle and Barry, your fall from prideful heights is unavoidable.

AMERICAN CONSERVATISM: Growth – Independence – Freedom – Security – Potential – Liberty… FOR ALL! Why Romney Lost |
This Saturday, the Midwest Marxist Conference was held at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. The event was teeming with teachers who spoke about the new found bond between the radical socialists and their Teachers Union. The all-day event, which collected money to support Chicago Socialists and featured a communist bookstore, provided students on-campus along with the radical left community to plan the next phase in their activism.Becca Barnes, a Chicago Teachers Union teacher and organizer with Chicago Socialists, proclaimed at the beginning of the conference that “the struggle here in the United States has entered a new phase. Nowhere have we pointed the way forward more clearly than here in Chicago with the teachers union strike.” After the opening plenary, breakout sessions addressed more specific topics like the history of the Democratic party, education, and case studies in Russia. In these sessions, speakers continued to celebrate the use of education as a mechanism to insert Marxism into public institutions. In one session, the idea of targeting their message to students, even over “the working class,” was debated. One teacher, who spoke in an afternoon session, described his tactics to overcome the problem of teachers’ unwillingness to take part in the strike, while underscored Barnes’s earlier point when he spoke about the “struggle” of Chicago teachers and the need for additional support from other revolutionary movements. Through a renewed focus on the “strike weapon,” Socialist organizers remarked that they felt their movement had rediscovered its vigor—and the path forward ought to include “mass strikes,” they said. Eric Ruder of the ISO spoke about the Socialists’ partnership with the Chicago Teachers Union during “The Meaning of Marxism” breakout session: There are big moments in the sort of chain of historical development that we have to be able to intervene… And in order to that, you need an organization. That’s really the sort of thing you saw in the Chicago teachers strike. In a situation where there was a huge struggle, our organization threw itself in the middle of that and had a demonstrable impact on it. Because we’ve been rooted, experienced activists who worked together in a collaborative way to try to build up that influence over the long haul… I think when you get in revolutionary moment where your ability to quickly assess what’s happening and make strategic and tactical shifts on the fly, that is essential. Working class revolutions have never succeeded without the existence of a revolutionary party that’s capable of making those sorts of decisions and providing that kind of leadership. And that’s what we’re asking you, the members of this group, to join and help in that process. We need you to be able to have enough size and influence to matter, but you need us to be able to be part of a force that could intervene in that sort of chain in historical development. Other speakers addressed perceived weaknesses in the Socialists’ messaging, including the need to shore up the high pay of union members and racism inherent at the AFL-CIO, which, according to participants, has been an historic problem. Others acknowledged that the general public “seems to fear us” and brainstormed ways to counter these fears. The event itself, though advertised online as via social media, retained a sense of extreme secrecy. Attendees were told not to record video or audio unless they had express permission from organizers. Rather than traditional discussions in the breakout sessions, we were instructed to “raise your hand in a fist” in order to be first approved and then added by a moderator to a queue to speak. This orthodoxy resulted in extremely disjointed Q&A sessions where no one comment followed another and most questions went unanswered. After attending the all-day event, which began at 11 a.m., I was singled out as “not in solidarity” by International Socialist Organization (ISO) organizer Dennis Kosuth around 4 p.m, and removed from the premises for “not being a Communist.” Despite registering for the event, the group of socialists that removed me, including pre-school teacher Kirstin Roberts, social worker Alison McKenna, printer Eric Kerl, Socialist organizer Shaun Harkin, and others. They surrounded me at the edge of a staircase, proceeded to push their way closer to me to force me down the stairs, and hurled insults at me as I attempted to find a way to leave safely. Even after leaving the conference, the group continued to bully me, with one larger man saying under his breath that “you know what would happen at Teamsters meeting” inferring a more violent solution to my presence: While it may or may not come as a surprise that a radical leftist conference was held on the grounds of an esteemed U.S. university, it is ironic that when a journalist shows up—at this “school of journalism,” no less—and they are summarily booted from just being at the conference. The mere presence of a journalist whom they could not trust to be “in solidarity” with communism was enough to send organizers into a frenzy to remove me immediately. What were the ISO and Northwestern University so intent on hiding from journalists and the general public? Was it that Haymarket Books, a revolutionary bookstore, was allowed to open up shop on campus and sell revolutionary reading materials? Was it the number of teachers in the house, and t-shirts for sale, supporting the teachers union strike? Or that the ISO was able to charge a fee, fundraise and recruit new members to their revolutionary cause on the Northwestern grounds, using an entire lecture hall and several classrooms? Perhaps it was all of the above, in addition to the fact that, together with leaders of the Chicago Teachers Union, Occupy Chicago and several other labor unions, these groups discussed how to achieve fundamental societal change. Change that included “historical development,” and the strategies required to overthrow the American system and replace it with a direct dictatorship of the working class over the means of production. Not the best message to send to Northwestern alums and prospective students. The International Socialists Organizations recruitment program isn’t over after Saturday’s conference at Northwestern University. Next week, the University of Wisconsin Madison will open its doors to the group to indoctrinate another crop of students ripe for the message of revolution. |

| Pennsylvania election officials say they are not planning to investigate the extraordinary turnout and vote totals that President Obama garnered from parts of Philadelphia last Tuesday.
“In a presidential election year, there are times where you get extremely high turnout,” said Ron Ruman, press secretary for Pennsylvania’s Department of State, in a telephone interview with Fox News. “We would investigate if we thought there was something shady going on. But at this point, we have no reason to think that.” Ruman’s comments came as Philadelphia news outlets and election analysts have flagged the near-unanimity with which the Obama-Biden ticket swept pockets of the City of Brotherly Love. As the Philadelphia Inquirer first reported last week, six of Philadelphia’s 66 wards handed the president victory shares of 99 percent or better. In 20 of the wards, the Obama vote totals exceeded 97 percent. |
Broad trends and the national political undertow can’t be adequately captured in any single statistic — but if Mitt Romney had managed to push the electorate in a handful of states a few clicks in his direction, he’d be the president-elect, rather than an also-ran. Via Jim Geragthy:
Florida: 73,858
Ohio: 103,481
Virginia: 115,910
Colorado: 113,099
Those four states, with a collective margin of, 406,348 for Obama, add up to 69 electoral votes. Had Romney won 407,000 or so additional votes in the right proportion in those states, he would have 275 electoral votes.

President Barack Obama admittedly loves “Homeland.” But he may not appreciate the main actor’s sense of humor. Earlier this year, Damian Lewis was asked to sign a box set of “Homeland” for Obama, he explained on “The Jonathan Ross Show” on Saturday.
Actress Claire Danes, his co-star on the political thriller, “had written something really lovely and sweet” to the president, Lewis said. “I thought, I’ve got to think of something great … something classy. And I went: ‘From one Muslim to another’ in an indelible Sharpie.”
“And I couldn’t take it back,” he added. “I was then writing emails for the whole of the next week going: ‘I do hope he understands irony.’” On “Homeland,” Lewis plays a Marine-turned-terrorist who is secretly a practicing Muslim.

With some borrowed homely points of wisdom, I can say that even though the same wind blows on us all, it’s the set of our sails that determines what port we arrive at. Think about that. Have you ever seen or been on a sailboat moving silently across the water, not under it’s own power? It’s the wind (circumstances) that is the source of movement, yet it’s how we trim our sails (how we respond) that affects where we go. Sure, we usually can’t travel in a straight line but so long as we are patient and deliberate, we CAN get to where we want to arrive. Note, WE can arrive where we want even though everyone else may want to go to other destinations. Let all those dipshits expecting Obama to take care of them moan about how their lives suck. Their quality of life will never improve because they have no destination in mind and they’re not trimming their sails. They’re drifting along expecting SS ENTITLEMENTS to pull alongside and do it for them. If you have the inclination, offer to tell a story about how great one of your destination ports is so maybe they’ll want to experience it for themselves and want to learn how to trim their sails to get there, but never ever do it for them! The sailing metaphor is from the late Jim Rohn which I have taken to heart to improve my own situation. The trimming of your sail and the arrival at the port of your choosing has absolutely nothing to do with anyone else’s boat, sails, or crewmembers. It only has to do with the wind that blows and how you set your own sail! That should be a freeing thought for those weighed down by recent events.
Who Is Really In Charge? by Jim Rohn
Finally, the elections are over. Some of you are certainly very happy and some are probably unhappy with the outcome and that is to be expected. Every four years we Americans participate in this grand experiment called America and we elect a President to lead us. That of course spurs lots of different opinions and positions and people can become emotionally involved with the outcome.
One thing that I always find fascinating in all elections, but especially the presidential elections, are the many promises that candidates make to the electorate. They promise to make the economy better and to make health care more affordable for the masses. They promise to make the taxes better and to create jobs.
As I think about this, I want to challenge you to consider that while a President may have a general effect on your circumstances, they do not have a specific effect on your circumstances. Let me explain: While they may play a role in what direction the stock market goes, they do not have an effect in how an individual stock goes, or in whether or not you can make money in the stock market. So, while we certainly should vote and participate in the process, we must understand that no single person –other than you – will have an effect on what your individual life outcome is.
Let me give you some more examples:
A President may promise a better economy but you determine your economy. They may affect whether the dollar gains strength or loses it, but you determine what your financial position is going to be. The fact is that even in the worst economies, including recessions and depressions, there are those who will continue to thrive and even become extremely wealthy. In the great depression, there were countless people who, because of their individual efforts, became millionaires. So, no matter what the economy is nationally, you can become wealthy in the next four years. You don’t have to wait for anyone.
A President may promise to create jobs, but the only person who is going to create YOUR job is you! You determine whether or not you have a job. The President doesn’t, the economy doesn’t, and the industry doesn’t. No matter how bad things get, there are always those who have good paying jobs. You choose what kind of person you will be, and how valuable you will make yourself to the marketplace and thus, what kind of job you will have. So, no matter what the job situation is nationally, you can have any job you want in the next four years. You don’t have to wait for anyone.
A President may promise to do something about taxes, but no matter what the tax rate is, you can still build your personal wealth. Much of my wealth came to me when we still had extremely exorbitant tax rates. I have often said that if you want to be a millionaire and the tax rate is 50%, then just make two million. You determine how much you will have left after taxes, not the government. If you don’t like what you have left, make more. Now, am I saying we shouldn’t work to lower tax rates? No, but I am saying that we can be in control of our own lives regardless of the tax rate. So, no matter what the tax rate is, you can earn more money in the next four years. You don’t have to wait for anyone.
A President may promise to make your health care available to you but you can make health care available to yourself! It isn’t that people can’t afford it; it is that you can’t afford it. What is the answer to that? The empowering answer is to do what it takes to put yourself in a financial and career situation wherein it doesn’t matter what the cost is, because you can afford it. Again, I am not saying that we shouldn’t work to make health care affordable for people, but when you leave it in the hands of someone else, then you make yourself dependent upon them, rather than becoming independent.
The fact is that you control your life. You control your destiny. You chart your course. Those we elect are not the givers of our financial lives. I sometimes think that many people think that if we can just get the “right” person elected, then their lives will suddenly take a turn for the better. Not true. You determine the outcome of your life.
Fortunes will be made in the next four years, no matter what. Some people will join the ranks of millionaires. That is amazing. The only question you have to ask is whether or not you will be one of them. People with high skills will always be in demand for high paying jobs. People who have a superb product or service to offer will always be in demand.
Did you vote? That’s great – we should as our civic duty. But the most important thing is not whether your candidate won or lost, but what kind of decision you will make about your own life, your own career, and your own financial situation, no matter who is in office.
Do that, and the world is yours for the taking.

On November 6, 2012, 3.2 million fewer Americans voted for Mitt Romney than President Obama. 61.8 million Americans voted for Obama, while only 58.6 million voted for Romney.
Despite losing the popular vote 51% to 48%–not a landslide for Obama by any means, but on the other hand not the “neck and neck” outcome many predicted–Mitt Romney would be President today if he had secured 333,908 more votes in four key swing states.
The final electoral college count gave President Obama a wide 332 to 206 margin over Romney. 270 electoral college votes are needed to win the Presidency.
Romney lost New Hampshire’s 4 electoral college votes by a margin of 40,659. Obama won with 368,529 to Romney’s 327,870.
Romney lost Florida’s 29 electoral college votes by a margin of 73,858. Obama won with 4,236,032 to Romney’s 4,162,174.
Romney lost Ohio’s 18 electoral college votes by a margin of 103,481. Obama won with 2,697,260 to Romney’s 2,593,779
Romney lost Virginia’s 13 electoral college votes by a margin of 115,910. Obama won with 1,905,528 to Romney’s 1,789,618.
Add the 64 electoral college votes from this switch of 333,908 votes in these four key states to Romney’s 206, remove them from Obama’s 332, and Romney defeats Obama 270 to 268.
Overall, voter turnout was down, from 131 million in 2008 to 122 million in 2012. Obama won 7.6 million fewer votes than he did in 2008, and Romney won 1.3 million fewer than McCain in 2008.
Romney improved his vote total’s over McCain’s by the slightest amount in three of these four states, but in Ohio, he actually had 81,000 fewer votes than McCain in 2008.
What do these facts tell us?
Both parties lost support of the population in the four years between 2008 and 2012. While Obama lost more support, he started with more, and he was able to hang on to enough of his base to overcome Romney’s inability to keep and expand his base.
Obama’s victory doesn’t constitute a mandate for his far left agenda to “transform America” into some nightmarish amalgam combining the worst features of a European socialist state with an Indonesian oligarchy.
This election was not about grand vision. It was about small details and focused pandering to specific demographic groups.
President Barack Obama once promised, as a U.S. Senator, to honor veterans of the Cold War, who have never received official recognition and are therefore prevented from full participation in many Veterans Day celebrations. But he never fulfilled that promise–neither in the Senate nor the White House–leaving Cold War veterans in the cold. This weekend, the Wall Street Journal documented the promise, made in 2006 to Frank Almquist, an Illinois constituent who had served in the Army in the 1980s. A medal for Cold War veterans seemed “appropriate,” Obama wrote, and wrote that he hoped “this impasse can be broken soon.” He never took up the task. The U.S. has thus far failed to honor those who served in the long struggle against communism, which began almost as soon as the Second World War had ended. Though communist regimes–especially Stalin’s Soviet Union and Mao’s China, and satellites such as Pol Pot’s Cambodia–committed more murders than the Nazis, few Americans are aware of the absolute moral evil that communism represents, or the sacrifices made to stop it. The fact that the U.S. government has never formally recognized Cold War veterans has meant they have been excluded from veterans’ groups such as the American Legion, which only includes veterans from periods of “hot” wars, regardless of where or how the veterans served. The U-2 pilots who provided essential intelligence; the soldiers who kept watch in Berlin; the sailors who were silent sentinels aboard submarines, tracking Soviet movements, ready to strike–all have gone unheralded, and largely uncelebrated, even on Veterans Day. It is possible that the reluctance to honor Cold War veterans springs from a political motive. Many on the left opposed the tough line taken against communism by Presidents from Truman to Reagan; many still think of communism as a legitimate alternative economic model that was never given a real chance at success due to western opposition and political failures in implementation. An entire generation of American youth has been educated in the years since the Cold War ended without much idea of how it was fought, by whom, or why. The official position of the Obama administration is that the Cold war “was not actually a war,” in the words of Assistant Secretary of Defense for Legislative Affairs Elizabeth King. For all his happy talk at about assisting veterans, President Barack Obama has left thousands of the nation’s heroes on the sidelines. They won the longest and most important war of our nation’s history, freeing millions from totalitarianism. But the nation they served has yet to commend them–and the president has, disgracefully, failed to honor his promise. |

| John Schnatter Papa John’s CEO: Obamacare likely to raise costs, employee’s hours being cut |
Business owners are constrained by real math- income and expenses. They can just borrow their way out of unprofitability. Any increase in costs due to government meddling will result in higher prices for consumers. So now we’ll pay more for our own insurance, plus food and consumer goods prices will go up!
—
(Papa John’s CEO) Schnatter estimated that these rising costs could adversely affect his workers. Since only full-time employees working 30 hours or more must be covered under the new law, he said he expects franchise owners will be forced to cut employees’ hours because they can’t afford the costs of health insurance plans.
“That’s probably what’s going to happen,” he said according to NaplesNews.com. “It’s common sense. That’s what I call lose-lose.”
The comments were not Schnatter’s first statements on ObamaCare. He made headlines in August for telling shareholders the law may lead to increases in the price of his pizza.

D.C . Pigs at Home in the Capital Swamp
We have fallen far and fast.
Instead of electing a serious-minded, proven professional, America went once again with a guy whose most impressive qualification is that of a questionable “Chicago” community organizer. I don’t mean Chicago in a geographic sense.
President John F. Kennedy would have been appalled. Instead of asking not what our country can do for us but what we can do for our country, in just 50 years since Kennedy uttered that famous phrase, it appears that a majority of Americans now demand that their country do for them. It’s America turned upside-down.
We have decayed into a nation of gluttonous, soulless pigs who feast on whatever Fedzilla provides by taking from one group of Americans (the producers) and giving to others (the takers) who haven’t earned it and don’t deserve it.
Alexis de Tocqueville, the famous French thinker who visited America almost 200 years ago, saw the dangers of our experiment when he wrote, “A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years.”
There you have it, America. The pigs have come home to wallow in the mud of the Washington swamp, and we have a group of professional political punks — master scam artists — who are all too happy to shovel more slop while advocating that the producers should be punished further by raising their taxes and restricting entrepreneurs with business-wrecking overregulation. And you thought “Planet of the Apes” was a movie.
This is where America is today. Too many Americans have become entitlement chumps who have been convinced by Democrats and other liberal scammers that they are entitled to the sweat and hard work of other Americans. Free cellphones aren’t free. Food stamps have become vote-getting extortion vouchers.
Couple that sense of entitlement with the abject stupidity of basic free-market principles by Mr. Obama’s supporters, and it isn’t surprising to me that Mr. Obama was given four more years to wage class warfare, drive our nation into more unsustainable debt, and institute policies that put Americans out of work and cause energy prices to skyrocket.
I’m not nearly as surprised with the outcome of the presidential election as I’m disheartened and disgusted that my fellow Americans can be this woefully uninformed, easily manipulated and thunderously ignorant. I’ve got a rotting fence post smarter than these mouth breathers.
If you voted for Mr. Obama, you are thunderously dumb and incredibly naive. Believe it. For your intentional ignorance, you will ultimately pay a heavy price that you are obviously too ignorant to understand. Your children and grandchildren will pay an even heavier burden. America will pay the heaviest burden. Thanks for nothing, numbskulls.
Mitt Romney was by far the better candidate, though he may not have been as “cool” or likeable as Mr. Obama. Electing our leaders based on their likeability factor is slightly less amusing than listening to “Say It Ain’t So, Joe” Biden stick his foot in his mouth.
Twenty years ago, the results would have been different. America wasn’t nearly as stupid back then as we are today. The presidential election proves that the dumbing down of America is complete.
The cultural tapestry of America is changing with more people of color inhabiting America and voting. I have no issue with that. What I have issue with is anyone believing he is owed something without working for it and a president who agrees. That’s considered un-American by the roughly 50 percent of us smart enough to have voted for Mr. Romney, the far better choice.
Ted Nugent is an American rock ‘n’ roll, sporting and political activist icon. He is the author of “Ted, White, and Blue: The Nugent Manifesto” and “God, Guns & Rock ‘N’ Roll” (Regnery Publishing).

| Hillary Clinton still intends to step down as secretary of state. That will take place likely “days” after President Barack Obama’s second inauguration in January.
“The Secretary has been honored to serve as President Obama’s Secretary of State, and has loved every minute of leading this Department and being part of the State family,” a Clintons spokesman says in an email. “But yes, you can confirm yet again that she’s been clear about her intention to leave after the first term.” When asked for clarification on what date Clinton would stepdown, the spokesman, Philippe Reines, says, “She has said that she wants to ensure continuity, and realizes the confirmation of her successor might take a period of days beyond that.” Reines, a long time Clinton loyalist, did not immediately respond to a question concerning what role he might play in (a possible) Clinton 2016 presidential campaign. |
President Obama has succeeded in transforming America. The constitutional republic is dead. A socialist empire has been born. This is the true meaning — and historical significance — of Tuesday’s election.
From the outset of his presidency, Mr. Obama vowed to be a “transformative” leader. His re-election shows that he has achieved his primary goal: erecting a European social democracy.
By any objective measure, Mr. Obama’s first term has been a colossal failure. His signature legislative achievements — the economic stimulus and Obamacare — are unpopular. Unemployment has remained chronically high. Economic growth is sputtering. The recovery is anemic. Inflation is rising. He has presided over multiple, consecutive trillion-dollar-plus budget deficits. He has amassed more than $5 trillion in debt. The national debt is more than $16 trillion — a staggering amount that threatens our economic security. We are sliding toward Greece and impending bankruptcy. Yet the electorate rewarded him with another term.
Why? The answer is simple and ominous: because more than half the population — 50 percent plus one — is dependent upon government benefits. For the past four years, the Obama administration has created a Franco-German welfare state whose sole purpose is to forge a majority political coalition wedded to the Democratic Party. The stimulus; the health care overhaul; the redirecting of financial resources to the inner cities; the explosion in the number of Americans on food stamps and welfare; the massive spending increases in public education, infrastructure and agriculture; the green-energy boondoggles; the bailouts of the auto industry; the contraceptive mandate; the federal funding of abortion; support for homosexual “marriage”; and pushing amnesty for illegal aliens — all of these measures directly bought off key liberal constituencies, such as unions, public-sector workers, environmentalists, blacks, Hispanics, feminists and the homosexual community.
In short, America has been fractured into two nations: the tax producers and the tax consumers, the givers and the takers, those who generate wealth and those who exploit it. Mr. Obama has peeled off the larger chunk. The productive classes are being harnessed into subsidizing the nonproductive elements. Statism and sex trump entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
Contrary to myth, liberalism is not a political ideology but a pseudo-religion — or rather, it is a substitute for traditional religion. It is driven by emotion, symbolism, irrationality and blind, intense faith. Its holy trinity is race, class and gender. Its church is the Democratic Party. And its savior —its secular messiah —is Mr. Obama. He has fostered a cult of personality common among leftist revolutionaries. Despite blatant failures, he is not held accountable by his supporters. Like Vladimir Lenin, Leon Trotsky, Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez, Mr. Obama is never blamed by his ideological followers for any mistakes or misdeeds. It is always someone else’s fault — especially former President George W. Bush‘s. Obama-ites have one ever-present boogeyman: Mr. Bush. He is the American left’s devil.
Moreover, this explains Mr. Obama’s strategy — playing the race card, relentlessly attacking “millionaires and billionaires” and making phony claims of a GOP “war on women.” The only real war is the Democrats’ ceaseless assault upon traditional America. Mr. Obama is practicing the old politics of divide and conquer. His aim is to splinter and polarize society in the ruthless pursuit of power.
The path is clear for Mr. Obama’s complete transformation of America. He has admitted that the key to his re-election was the huge Hispanic turnout. He plans to repay the favor by pushing amnesty for nearly 12 million to 20 million illegal immigrants. The New York Times reports that Mr. Obama considers “comprehensive immigration reform” to be his first priority in a second term. The reason is obvious: Granting amnesty would permanently shift the electoral map in favor of the Democrats. Pivotal states with large illegal populations, such as Texas, Arizona, Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania, would become deep blue. It would ensure national one-party Democratic rule for generations.
The last line of defense is the Republican-controlled House. The Senate remains firmly in Democratic hands. Mr. Obama will reshape the Supreme Court as he fills inevitable upcoming vacancies. The establishment media is his lapdog. Hollywood backs him. The popular culture idolizes him. Almost every major institution is falling under his influence. The president has shown nothing but contempt for the Constitution. He is remaking America in his own image. Can Republicans stop him? If not, there will be no return from Obama’s America.

(Rush Limbaugh transcript excerpt)
“Now, everybody is jumping on Romney’s chain today, getting in his chili. Look, he may have not been the most optimal candidate, but he’s a fine man. He would have been great for this country. Mitt Romney and his family would have been the essence of exactly what this country needs. But what was Romney’s recipe? Romney’s recipe was the old standby: American route to success, hard work. That gets sneered at. I’m sorry. In a country of children where the option is Santa Claus or work, what wins? And say what you want, but Romney did offer a vision of traditional America. In his way, he put forth a great vision of traditional America, and it was rejected. It was rejected in favor of a guy who thinks that those who are working aren’t doing enough to help those who aren’t. And that resonated.
“The Obama campaign was about small stuff. War on Women, binders, Big Bird, this kind of stuff. The Romney campaign was about big things, was about America. It’s mind-boggling to go through these exit polls. You want to hear a statistic that is somewhat surprising? Romney received two and a half million fewer votes than McCain did. Now, who would have called that? Who in the world would have? I think Obama’s vote tally was down ten million from 2008, and we still lost. We lost 50 to 48 nationally. We were not able to build a turnout model that looked like 2004. Very puzzling.”

| “I explained to them a month ago that if Obama gets in office that the regulations for Obamacare are gonna hurt our business, and I’m gonna have to make provisions to make sure I have enough money to cover the payroll taxes, the additional health care I’m gonna have to do, and I explained that to them and I said you do what you feel like in your heart you need to do, but I’m just letting you know as a warning this is things I have to think of as a business owner.
“Well unfortunately, and most of my employees are Hispanic — I’m not gonna go into what kind of company I have, but I have mostly Hispanic employees — well unfortunately we know what happened and I can’t wait around anymore, I have to be proactive. I had to lay off 22 people today to make sure that my business is gonna thrive and I’m gonna be around for years to come. I have to build up that nest egg now for the taxes and regulations that are coming my way. Elections do have consequences, but so do choices. A choice you make every day has consequences and you know what, I’ve always put my employees first, but unfortunately today I have to put me and my family first, and you watch what’s gonna happen. I’m just one guy with 114 employees — well was 114 employees — watch what happens in the next six months. The Dow alone lost 314 points today. There’s a tsunami coming and if you didn’t think this election had consequences, just wait.” http://lasvegas.cbslocal.com/2012/11/07/vegas-employer-obama-won-so-i-fired-22-employees/ |
| Islamists in the Middle East are speaking out following President Barack Obama’s re-election Tuesday night.
The Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood feels that the only foreign policy change Obama can bring is by “accepting the will of the Arab people.” “We must rely on ourselves and on our resources and build our country,” Issam Al-Aryan, a top Muslim Brotherhood official, said, according to The Times of Israel. “In the absence of direct American influence, Egypt can affect and lead the process of building a democratic and constitutional regime that will become a dream for African and the southern hemisphere.” Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood wants to make Shariah Law the main source of the country’s new constitution. Terror group Hamas is calling for Obama not to be “biased” toward Israeli interests during his second term. “We heard moderate speech from Obama following his first term victory, but his policy was inconsistent with the speeches he gave in Egypt and Turkey,” Taher Nunu, a Hamas government spokesman, said, according to The Times of Israel. “He now has an opportunity to implement those promises to the nations of the region, far from pressures by the Israel lobby and politicized money.” Iran wants Obama to force Israel to get rid of its nuclear weapons. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned Iran of a possible military strike if the Tehran regime continues its efforts in building a nuclear weapon. |
President Barack Obama sees America as a salad bowl, where multiculturalists are free to pick and choose identities and cultures instead of sharing a unifying one — the classical melting pot concept. And Obama’s successful 2012 campaign — as sophisticated as it was when it came to micro-targeting voters — reflected his broader view.
Instead of running a campaign based on his record or a unifying and forward-looking vision for the next four years, Obama essentially ran multiple, micro-targeted campaigns aimed at specific racial groups, scaring them into believing Republicans would take away their rights and promising them legislation on pet issues in a second term. He used the same template with women voters. He essentially united his coalition by disuniting America, one racial and gender group at a time.
And incredibly — with the help of Obama’s “Moneyball”-esque date crunchers and geeks — it worked devastatingly well on Election Day. Obama’s progressive coalition, in what was a base election, turned out in droves, surprising Republican pollsters who had built their models on turnout levels similar to 2004’s.
It was something Romney and Republicans could not match, which is why Obama won in the key battleground states despite losing the independent vote. Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, and young voters turned out in greater numbers than in 2008, and whites turned out in fewer numbers.
In fact, Romney and Ryan got nearly three million fewer votes than John McCain and Sarah Palin did in 2008. McCain and Palin received 59,934,814 votes and Romney and Ryan received nearly 57,200,000. This is made more remarkable when one considers how Obama’s historic 2008 run fired up voters — with the mainstream media’s help — and McCain, who the Republican base did not like as well, had to run a shoestring campaign because his operation basically went bankrupt during the primary.
Romney’s campaign did not have financial problems and was also aided by hundreds of millions of dollars worth of support from Republican-affiliated super PACs.
The Obama campaign was devastatingly brilliant in maximizing turnout among its most liberal supporters. Their data crunchers had the campaign’s so-called “secret sauce” and were kept away in seclusion from most of the campaign team. They had data, for instance, that determined George Clooney would help them raise the most amount of money from West Coast females ages 40-49, as reported by TIME Magazine. These types of models and data-sets were used to activate and turn out members of the Obama coalition.
But none of it could have been possible without Obama’s public pronouncements and executive actions — on an array of issues ranging from gay marriage to immigration — aimed specifically at various groups in his progressive coalition.
Here is how Obama targeted and turned out these disparate groups:

“I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. ‘Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death.”–Thomas Paine
Tea Party congressman Rep. Allen West demanded a recount today in his nail-bitingly close re-election race with Patrick Murphy. With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Murphy has a lead of less than 3,000 votes. West’s campaign issued a statement:Late last night Congressman West maintained a districtwide lead of nearly 2,000 votes until the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections ‘recounted’ thousands of early ballots. Following that ‘recount’ Congressman West trailed by 2,400 votes … The St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections office clearly ignored proper rules and procedures, and the scene at the Supervisor’s office last night could only be described as complete chaos. Given the hostility and demonstrated incompetence of the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections, we believe it is critical that a full hand recount of the ballots take place in St. Lucie County. We will continue to fight to ensure every vote is counted properly and fairly, and accordingly we will pursue all legal means necessary. West has committed to pushing this battle into the courts if necessary. |
| An armed masked man who robbed a Warren convenience store on Tuesday also told the clerk at gunpoint to vote for President Barack Obama’s reelection campaign.
Reports said the man, who wore a white bandana covering his nose lower face, robbed the Convenient Food Mart at 3120 Parkman Road N.W. at gunpoint. Witnesses told police he pointed the gun at the clerk and repeatedly asked who he voted for in the presidential election. The clerk said he was not allowed to vote. The gunman then said “Vote for Obama. This is Obama (expletive)” before fleeing, reports said. Reports said the man walked into the store at about 8 p.m. Tuesday and pointed the gun at a customer about 15 feet from the door. The masked man demanded the customer give him “everything,” reports said. The man then turned to the clerk and ordered him to empty the cash register. Reports said the clerk handed the man money and the suspect then reached over the counter and grabbed the cash register drawer. He then asked the clerk about his presidential candidate preference. Reports said they have security video of the robbery and collected swabs of possible spit from the suspect based on where he was standing during the robbery. |
| The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost nearly 250 points in the first hour of trading on Wednesday morning, the day after President Barack Obama won re-election to a second term in office. News of poor economic forecasts in Europe also drove the steep decline; the European Union is now predicting that it will slide into recession. European markets had actually greeted the Obama win with a brief rise, before economic reality set in. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/11/07/Forward-Downward-Stocks-Crash-After-Obama-Win |

RUBIO 2016 comes to mind…… |
Well, what can I say… We wrote letters to the paper, spread the word on facebook, started a website/blog, and sent a million emails. The word was out on the debt, the taxes, the negligence, the vacations, the apologies, the schemes, the racism, the class warfare, the idolatry, you name it. The President did enough shady things he should have been thrown out of office ten times over, yet here we are.
Every generation seems to have its war and ours just moved from cover of darkness to the broad daylight. The silent war just escalated to the next level. The takers are no longer hiding and if you’re a producer, watch your back. Batten down the hatches for higher taxes. Higher health care costs are here to stay. The debt ceiling was raised to over $16 trillion and we’ve pretty much maxed that out. Stand by for a major debate on raising it again and a thousand fingers pointed at us for saying no, accusations that we are standing in the way of progress.
Sequestration is the immediate threat and standby for major cuts to the military which I think was the plan all along. Obama brushed it off in the debate saying it wouldn’t happen, but we shall see if his tune changes.
Look around your neighborhood for Obama 2012 bumper stickers and you know who to thank.
| Southfield Township — Sometimes dead men really do get to vote.
Ty Houston, 48, a home care registered nurse, was toiling on his absentee ballot Monday afternoon when things got strange at township offices on 13 Mile. “I was filling out the form as were an elderly couple sitting at a nearby table,” said Houston on Tuesday. “His wife, who was helping him fill out the ballot, asked him a couple of questions but he didn’t respond. She screamed for help and I went over to see what I could do.” Houston laid the victim on the floor and went to work. “He was dead,” Houston said. “He had no heartbeat and he wasn’t breathing. I started CPR, and after a few minutes, he revived and started breathing again. He knew his name and his wife’s name.” What happened next astounded Houston and the victim’s wife. “The first question he asked was ‘Did I vote?'” Dumbfounded, the man’s wife told him that whether he voted was the least of their concerns. “She told him ‘Your life is my concern,'” Houston said. According to Houston, the man — who had a tracheotomy in his throat — gulped down a few more breaths and then told her there are only two things that are important to me: “That I love you and that I finished what I came here to do … vote.” Which he had done. EMS personnel then took the pair to William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, but only after the couple wrapped Houston in thanks and hugs. “It was God’s divine word that I be there. Originally, I was just going skip the ballot and just go to lunch that day,” Houston said. Clerk Sharon Tischler confirmed the story Tuesday but said she didn’t know the names of the couple. Houston also wasn’t able to recall their names. “It was definitely a 911 scenario,” Tischler said. “It was great there was someone around to render aid.” From The Detroit News: http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20121106/METRO02/211060410#ixzz2BUSyA4ap |
| The following reports were received via the Breitbart News ELECTION TIP LINE (noreply@breitbart.com) between 8:20 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. EST, Election Day, November 6. Some reports received in the same time period have already been posted–the response, from every state in the nation, has been overwhelming. Overall, even accounting for the conservative beliefs of Breitbart readers, it would seem that the GOP has turned out the vote–and then some. Democrat turnout is spotty–good in some areas, weak in others, but apparently nowhere near the 2008 levels assumed by most mainstream media pollsters. This is good news for Republicans, and may be reflected in the final vote tallies, as long as it continues to roll. |

KRAUTHAMMER: Of course it was being held over Petraeus’s head, and the sword was lowered on Election Day. You don’t have to be a cynic to see that as the ultimate in cynicism. As long as they needed him to give the administration line to quote Bill, everybody was silent. And as soon as the election’s over, as soon as he can be dispensed with, the sword drops and he’s destroyed. I mean, can you imagine what it’s like to be on that pressure and to think it didn’t distort or at least in some way unconsciously influence his testimony? That’s hard to believe.
