| I won’t hear what I’d like to hear at the presidential foreign policy debate tonight.
What I’d like to hear is Barack Obama resigning over Benghazi, the most extreme public mishandling of an attack on American personnel ever, certainly in my lifetime. If I (or most people) had been president and something like that happened on my (our) watch — and then I had lied about it myself while urging others to cover up — I would be so ashamed of myself I wouldn’t be able to come out in public. But that’s not what happened. In fact, the reverse occurred. The president acted as if it was Mitt Romney’s fault for ever bringing the subject up. And he had a willing co-conspirator in the morally stunted Candy Crowley. Obama’s outrage during the second debate even at being questioned on his response to the terrorist killings is one of the ugliest displays of narcissism I have ever witnessed from a politician and certainly the ugliest if you consider the ramifications of his behavior. That the mainstream media ignored this reaction is a testament to their enduring pathology. Or perhaps to a secret longing for the divine right of kings. But it doesn’t matter. If Barack Obama does not resign on Monday, his reputation will be destroyed forever, even if he wins a second term, because Benghazi will not go away. This is not just because of the seemingly insoluble conundrums described so thoroughly by Watergate author (among other things) James Rosen in his Wall Street Journal oped — “The Three Benghazi Timelines We Need Answers About” — but for a reason yet more disturbing. Only a man with a leftover undergraduate ambivalence about Western civilization would have dealt with the Benghazi catastrophe in such a fashion in the first place. Barack Obama responded to the terrorism like a Columbia junior stoned on a reefer, particularly one from his era. He took another toke and moved on. And then when he was told he couldn’t do that, he got angry at the people telling him. How that will play out in Monday night’s debate, I have no idea (beyond my wish that he would resign and spare us any more of this). But Mitt Romney would be well advised to remember his opponent is a man who has not fully grown up. He doesn’t know how to take responsibility in an adult manner, so the chances that he will lash out are strong. He also may be aided and abetted in that enterprise by Bob Schieffer who, of the three debate moderators, is the longest card-carrying member of legacy media. In fact, he is one of the most long-standing around. You can count on his bias to shine through, overtly and covertly, because this could be the last hurrah of that clique (and they know it). Given public response to the debates and the moderators, it’s hard to be believe we will see the same dumb show in 2016. If we do, shame on us. And one final thing I would like to hear in the foreign policy debate but will not: It’s time to name our enemy. And by that I don’t mean al-Qaeda. That’s just the joker in the pack, the villain with a thousand faces, able to reappear in any mask imaginable and in any location. No, the real enemy is the pack of cards itself — Islamism. But Obama’s administration never mentions it. They don’t even use the word “terrorism.” It would be really interesting if Mitt Romney asked Obama what motivated Major Hasan’s mass murder of his fellow soldiers at Ft. Hood. I bet the answer wouldn’t even be worthy of an undergraduate. http://pjmedia.com/rogerlsimon/2012/10/22/should-barack-obama-resign-tonight/ |
| Donald Trump said Monday that he will reveal “very big” news about President Barack Obama by Wednesday but declined to give any hints about his plan.
“Something very, very big concerning the president of the United States,” he said. “It’s going to be very big. I know one thing — you will cover it in a very big fashion.” Trump, who said he will announce the news on Twitter “sometime probably Wednesday,” suggested it could “possibly” impact the election. The 2012 presidential election is still more than two weeks away, but on Friday a CBS News affiliate in Arizona called the race for President Barack Obama.
For 17 seconds, Phoenix, Arizona CBS News affiliate KPHO ran a lower third graphic that showed that Obama had won the Nov. 6 election over Gov. Mitt Romney with 99% of the precincts reporting. The lower third graphic appeared around 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 19, during an episode of “The People’s Court.”
The CBS News graphic showed Obama winning the election with 43 percent of the vote nationwide to Romney’s 40 percent -– or 40,237,966 votes to 38,116,216. It is unclear who garnered the other 17 percent in the fictional election results.
KPHO’s general manager did not return The Daily Caller’s request for comment by time of publication

Nearly 2,000 pro-lifers called local Planned Parenthood clinics Oct. 18 to schedule mammograms, after President Obama implied the organization offers the service.
“When Gov. Romney says that we should eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood, there are millions of women all across the country who rely on Planned Parenthood for not just contraceptive care, they rely on it for mammograms,” said Obama Oct. 16 during the second presidential debate.
Planned Parenthood does not actually provide women with mammograms, but refers patients out to other facilities for the exam.
“Call it for what it is … if you’re not doing mammograms, don’t say that you do them,” Kate Bryan, communications director for Live Action, told EWTN News Oct. 19.
In response to the implication that the organization provides mammograms, the pro-life groups And Then There Were None and Live Action organized “Call Planned Parenthood to Schedule Your Imaginary Mammogram Day.”
Bryan said the idea was generated by And Then There Were None, and that Live Action “thought it was a great idea, to get to the bottom of it and expose the truth.”

“BALLOT-BOX ZERO”
(music by Foreigner)
Standin’ in the November rain..
With his head hung low.. 😦
Headlined the losin’ ticket..
It wasn’t even close.. 😦
Heard the roar of the crowd..
He could picture the scene….
Put his big ears to the wall..
But all he heard was Michelle’s desperate screams!…..
He heard Mitt’s guitar!!! just blew him away!….
With Ryan at his side.. no more Dopey-Change…..
Had bought a beat up teleprompter..
In a second hand store..
Didn’t know how to load it..
But he knew for sure….
That cheap teleprompter!.
Looked good on it’s stand..
Didn’t take long!..
Dependent on it, is how it all began…..
Just one teleprompter!..
Placed in front, down low..
Was his one-way ticket!..
All the way to the big show…
So he started mockin’!.
His dividing never stopped..
“Gotta keep on mockin!”….
“Class war is gonna take me to the top!”
CHORUS:
And be a BALLOT-BOX ZERO…
Got Bill Maher on my side…
He’s a BALLOT-BOX ZERO…
(it took 100 teleprompters)
BALLOT-BOX ZERO…
Eva Longoria’s hypnotized..
BALLOT-BOX ZERO…
Got Hollywood stars on his side 🙂
“I’ll be more aggressive next time!”…..
In this town where he sought political fame..
Where his popularity soared..
Like Carter did in Reagan’s shadow..
He exited through the Whitehouse backdoor 😦
Like a trip through the past!.
To that day in the rain…
With that golden teleprompter!..
When his community organizin’ life changed….
He used to demonize & mock em’!.
He just couldn’t stop…
Shoulda’ never stopped mockin!”..
No more free vacations & Moochelle’s still steamin’ hot! 😦
He was a BALLOT-BOX ZERO…
On a teleprompter he relied….
Was a BALLOT-BOX ZERO… yeah!
In a real debate, it never materialized… 😦
Yeah, BALLOT-BOX ZERO…
Hollywood didn’t get ya by….
BALLOT-BOX ZERO…
On a lonely golf course he finally realized……. 😦
President Obama is getting so desperate about Romney-trending election polls that he is calling on an old, discarded ally to help his get out the vote effort: Rev. Jeremiah Wright. According to former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, “If Obama looks as if he’s going black, he could turn off white people. So he’s largely been lying low on the race issues – visibly pushing for the Latino vote, the gay vote, the women’s vote, but not the black vote. But last weekend, he held a conference call with a collection of black preachers that included his old pastor,Jeremiah Wright. He wanted to talk to them about getting out the vote.”Wright, of course, was so controversial that then-candidate Obama was forced to throw him under the bus during the 2008 election cycle. Wright told author Edward Klein that Obama tried to pay him $100,000 to keep his mouth shut during the election cycle. And now Jeremiah Wright’s back, and better than ever. When push comes to shove, Obama’s still Jeremiah Wright’s mentee. |

Reps. Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) have released State Dept documents that show Ambassador Christopher Stevens clearly expressed concerns about security months before his death.
The documents, 166 pages in total, contain a cable signed by Stevens and dated Aug 8. In that cable, Stevens wrote of how Benghazi had teetered from “trepidation to euphoria and back” through a “series of violent incidents.” And he took pains to point out that the incidents were not spontaneous outbursts, but “organized” attacks.
Stevens put it this way: “What we have seen are not random crimes of opportunity, but rather targeted and discriminate attacks.”
Another cable that bore Stevens’ signature was dated Sept 11 — the very day on which he was later killed. In this cable, Stevens expressed his concern about “growing frustration” in the Benghazi area and “growing problems with security” around the consulate.
Stevens explicitly mentioned the Libyan police and security forces that were guarding the U.S. consulate. He said those forces “were too weak” to keep the site secure.
These cables and the concerns expressed in them were nothing new. In late June, following attacks earlier that month, Stevens had written that the attackers “seemed to be targeting the Christians supervising the management of the consulate” and that “Islamic extremism appeared to be on the rise in eastern Libya.”
In other words, months before the Sept 11 attacks took place, spontaneous uprisings were ruled out. The attack on Benghazi was “targeted and discriminate.”

“AMERICA LIMPIN’ BY”
(music by Don McLean)
A long long time ago..
I can still remember how the Gipper used to make us smile 🙂
And I knew if he had the chance..
That he could make our country dance..
And maybe we’d be prosperous for a long while….
But Liberalism made us wither..
With every policy Pelosi delivered..
Bad news on the internet..
Harry Reid makin’ mess after mess….
I clearly remember that I cried..
When I read about Obama’s rise..
Alarm bells went off deep inside..
The day, a fraud came to preside….
Tea Party started singin’ :
CHORUS
Bye.. bye.. Barack’s got America Limpin’ By 😦
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the battery died..
That good ole McChelle was bannin’ milkshakes and fries 😦
Sayin’ this’ll be the day to “Let’s Move!” & get your exercise high…
We’re gonna see the day when “algae” gets us by…
Bill Clinton wrote the book on love..
And Anthony Weiner texted when he rubbed..
Cause the Liberal moral code told them so..
Now do you believe in the obama-mania-media reality show?
Can Reverend Wright save your racist soul?
And can McChelle teach you how to keep your calorie intake real low?
Well, I know that you’re in love with him..
Cause I saw you at the Obama townhall in the gym..
You all kicked in your teacher union dues..
Man, you dug it when Barack sang some rhythm & blues!
You were an angry teenage-actin’ union thug..
With a “yes-we-can” button and a hopeychange coffee mug..
But you knew that you were out of luck..
The day Scott Walker survived…
Wisconsin was singin’ :
Bye.. bye.. Barack’s got America Limpin’ By 😦
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the battery died..
That good ole McChelle was bannin’ milkshakes and fries 😦
Sayin’ this’ll be the day to “Let’s Move!” & get your exercise high…
We’re gonna see the day when “algae” gets us by…
Now, for three plus years America’s been on her own..
And government grows fat while Barack builds his throne..
But that’s not how our founders wanted it to be….
When JoeBlow Biden spoke for the wanna-be king and queen..
People laughed at his natural born “malarkey”..
And his gaffes gave us all some comic relief.. 🙂
Oh and while King Barack with chin up was looking down..
The TeaParty stole his cardboard cutout crown..
The Congress was adjourned..
No budget was returned!
And while Obama read a book on Marx..
The occupiers defecated in the park..
And faithful Dems remained clueless & in the dark..
The day, America died…
Tea Party was singin’ :
Bye.. bye.. Barack’s got America Limpin’ By 😦
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the battery died..
That good ole McChelle was bannin’ milkshakes and fries 😦
Sayin’ this’ll be the day to “Let’s Move!” & get your exercise high…
We’re gonna see the day when “algae” gets us by…
Helter skelter in a summer energy crisis swelter..
Gas prices flew up, Solyndra provided no shelter..
Pipeline axed & drillin’ falling fast….
Costs landed foul on the middle-class..
The unions tried for a sweetheart pact..
With the president, on their sideline cheerleading to get it passed…
Now in the globally warmed air was a toxic plume..
Al Gore played a protest tune..
The unions all got up to dance..
Oh, but they never got the chance…
Cause the NLRB tried to control the field..
But the Right To Work states refused to yield..
Do you recall all the corruption that was revealed?
The day, America died…
Tea Party was singin’:
Bye.. bye.. Barack’s got America Limpin’ By.. 😦
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the battery died..
That good ole McChelle was bannin’ milkshakes and fries 😦
Sayin’ this’ll be the day to “Let’s Move!” & get your exercise high…
We’re gonna see the day when “algae” gets us by…
Oh, and there they were all in one place..
The occupy zombies trashin’ public space..
With no time left to evict these vermin…
So “Let’s Move!” Barack was nimble, Barack was quick..
Barack co-opted this disgusting click..
Cause class warfare is this charlatan’s only friend…
And as I watched him on his campaign stage..
My hands were clenched in fists of rage..
No Conservative meaning well..
Could accept this con-man’s sell!
And as the division & envy climbed high and out of sight..
To fuel his sacrificial Romney-fight..
I saw Barack Hussein Obama laughing with delight…
The day, America died…
He was singin’ :
Bye.. bye.. I got America Limpin’ By 🙂
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the battery died…
My good ole McChelle is bannin’ milkshakes and fries 😦
Sayin’ this’ll be the day to “Let’s Move!” & get an exercise high…
Yes we’re gonna see the day when “algae” gets us by…….
I met a hockey-mom who spoke the truth..
And I asked her for some hopeful news..
But she just smiled and said someday….
I went down to the discount store..
Where I’d seen capitalism years before..
But the renter there said the free-marketplace went away…
And in the streets the filthy protestors screamed..
The Republicans cried.. and the Patriots dreamed…
But not a responsible word was spoken..
Our Liberty and Freedoms all were broken…
And the three of them I despise the most..
Obama, Reid and the one who looks like she saw a ghost..
They caught the last high speed rail for the left-coast
The day, America died…..
And they were singin’ :
Bye.. bye.. yes America’s Died…
We drove our Chevys to the levee but the batteries died,
That good ole Moochelle was jettin’ off in the sky…
Sayin’ this’ll be the day I get mine…
Yes, I’m finally proud of my country and my guy…..

US Weekly Ignores Michelle Obama’s Expensive Tastes
![]()
Ann Romney wore an expensive dress to the presidential debate Tuesday, and US Weekly wants everyone to know it.
In a piece published Wednesday, Us Weekly ran the headline “Ann Romney Wears $1,690 Oscar de la Renta Dress to Presidential Debate.” Fox News points out the magazine chose this headline despite the fact that First Lady Michelle Obama’s outfit cost double that price.
Obama’s dress cost more than Romney’s at $1,795—AND the first lady topped the ensemble off with a jacket that cost an additional $1,495.
Fox News writes:
The announcement might have fit well with President Obama’s references during that debate to the Romney family’s enormous wealth. The president joked at one point that he doesn’t look at his own pension, because it’s not as big as Romney’s.
Mitt Romney’s second-in-command when he was governor of Massachusetts and a coalition of women’s groups rallied Wednesday behind the Republican presidential nominee in the face of a rapidly expanding Internet phenomenon poking fun at his “binders full of women.”
The supporters said Romney, indeed, asked for and received binders with names of potential female candidates for high-level posts — backing up his claim in Tuesday night’s debate that as governor he had reached out to women’s groups because he was dissatisfied with the mostly male applicants for jobs in his administration.
Keep wearing that Obama bumper sticker on your forehead!
CNN’s Soledad O’Brien made a fool of herself today. In other news, water’s wet and cows go “moo.”
Listen, I get why Soledad O’Brien might believe Obama’s up 15 points in Virginia when the truth is that the president’s campaign might be contemplating giving up completely on the state. After all, Ms. O’Brien probably isn’t informed of such things. If I didn’t have to, I wouldn’t watch CNN either.
Anyway, here’s one of the worst cable network anchors in the history of cable network anchoring anchoring her network this morning while interviewing Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell:
O’BRIEN: So, pre-debate polling shows that the president was up 15 points in the state of Virginia. We don’t really have good post-debate polling yet. We’re hoping to get that soon. How worried are you that your state is going to go for President Obama when the polls show a significant lead pre-debate after the first pretty awful debate?
MCDONNELL: I’m not sure what you’re looking at there, Soledad. I can only tell you that five months ago, Mitt Romney was down eight points in Virginia. Today, almost all the polls have him up one, two or more points.
It was only later after the Internet started laughing out loud at her that O’Brien corrected herself in a statement to the corrupt Politico:
In my interview with Governor Bob McDonnell this morning, I was citing the pre-debate Quinnipiac poll on women voters (October 4-9, 2012 — 56 for President Obama, 40 for Romney), and while the information on the screen said ‘women,’ I didn’t say the word. I was in error to not say the word ‘women,’ while it appeared on the screen.
That’s her excuse — that she meant to say “women”?
Look again at O’Brien’s full statement-slash-question to McDonnell. That’s not a question with the word “women” missing. That’s a question premised on the belief that Romney’s getting shellacked in Virginia by Soledad’s oh-so Precious One.
Blinded by bias.
But please don’t ever stop, Soledad. Just keep being your insufferably smug and corrupted self. Between hiring Van Jones — and Jones calling Romney a “douche” on the air — and Candy Crowley’s naked attempt to shamelessly win the second presidential debate for Obama (while making an infamous fool of herself after getting The Facts wrong) , it’s just a matter of time before I find myself moving from Newsweek to dance on CNN’s grave.
The CNN brand is already in the toilet. We’re just waiting for the sweet sound of a flush.
P.S. It’s also worth mentioning that this morning Ms. O’Brien used that old 2008 trick of airing Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert clips to take a whack at our side. It’s all disguised as a “light moment” but CNN knows exactly what it’s doing when deploying this tactic.

“One reason might be long-standing Republican ‘issue ownership’ of foreign policy and national security during the past six decades,” the study said. “Surveys show that until 2012, voters have consistently claimed to trust a generic Republican leader more than a generic Democratic leader when it comes to national security and foreign policy.”
Polls show that Obama’s approval rating on foreign policy remained above 50 percent for more than a year after the military raid that killed Osama Bin Laden in May 2011. That rating has dipped below 50 percent in recent weeks since the killing of the U.S. ambassador in Libya, according to a Wall Street Journal/NBC poll.

List any of Zero’s failures, add a dash or colon, then ‘not optimal.’
I don’t think the dead people’s families would consider their unwarranted deaths as not optimal.
In advance of the Third Presidential Debate in Florida on Oct. 22, which will focus on foreign policy, it is useful to examine whether President Barack Obama kept the ambitious foreign policy promises he made in 2008…1. “End the War in Iraq Responsibly.” Obama claims he has kept that promise, but the War in Iraq was actually ended by George W. Bush, and Obama merely abided by the withdrawal timetable that Bush negotiated before leaving office. The key word is “responsibly.” Obama said in 2008 that he would keep a residual force in Iraq to maintain security. But he–and Vice President Biden–failed to negotiate a new agreement with the Iraqi government. The result was a total withdrawal, against the advice of military leaders and the wishes of the Iraqi government. Obama took the hard-fought sacrifices of tens of thousands of Americans and squandered them, leaving a potential ally and strategic foothold at the mercy of the hegemonic ambitions of Al Qaeda and Iran. 2. “Finish the Fight Against Al Qaeda and Turn the Tide Against Global Terrorism.” Give Obama credit for ordering the successful raid on Osama Bin Laden. The past several weeks have made it clear that the fight against Al Qaeda is not finished, nor have we turned the tide. Indeed, Obama has now dropped the line “Al Qaeda is on the run” from his stump speech. The long refusal of the Obama administration to acknowledge that the deadly attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya was an act of terror is part of a broader pattern in which it has refused to identify radical Islam itself as a threat to the U.S. Obama is learning something that he once mocked Bush for saying out loud: that bin Laden is one man, and that the real problem is much bigger. 3. “Rebuild a Strong Twenty-first Century Military.” Obama began doing the opposite almost as soon as he took the oath of office. While wasting hundreds of billions of stimulus dollars on companies that failed and jobs that were never created, Obama cut the F-22 Raptor–which, whatever its demerits, was not only “shovel-ready” but combat-ready. Obama also ended the military’s two-war strategy and oversaw plans for a managed decline that will see the U.S. Navy shrink alarmingly. He has taken the country to the fiscal brink, and massive new cuts to defense loom unless he abandons his quixotic quest to raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans–not for the sake of balancing the budget (which such taxes cannot possibly achieve alone) but for “fairness.” 4. “Stop the Spread of Nuclear Weapons.” After four years, Iran is much closer to obtaining enough fissile material for a nuclear weapon because Obama refused to confront the Iranian regime, then resisted tough economic sanctions against it, and now rejects a firm red line beyond which diplomacy will cease. Obama insisted on re-inventing the wheel, starting talks anew as if years of effort by Bush and our European allies meant nothing. In addition, Obama cancelled the missile defense plans that Bush had negotiated with Poland and the Czech Republic to help defend the U.S. and our allies from an Iranian (or Russian) nuclear attack. In North Korea, the death of Kim Jong-Il was an opportunity wasted: it remains a dangerous nuclear power. 5. “Renew Our Alliances to Meet New Global Challenges.” Obama has damaged many alliances. The worst case has been Israel, which Obama confronted openly, adopting negotiating postures more radical than those of the Palestinians and thwarting Israeli attempts to build a stronger front against Iran. But Obama also undermined relations with Eastern Europe (see above), attempted to isolate a democratic government in Honduras, and hastened the fall of pro-American regimes in the Arab Spring while deferring action against the anti-American Syrian dictatorship. Our allies in East Asia worry about our commitment to protecting them from China, and “reset” relations with Russia are allowing Vladimir Putin to advance his own interests, not ours. 0-for-5. Yes, Obama kept some of the detailed promises within these promises–hence Politifact’s findings–but he did not honor his overall goals. It is also unclear how he intends to address these failures in a second term. |
‘If four Americans get killed, it’s not OPTIMAL’: Obama’s extraordinary response to Comedy Central question about shifting story after Benghazi attack
|
Critics have tried to make something out of nothing regarding Mitt Romney’s “binder” statement regarding women. Somehow, the fact that the Governor of Massachusetts sought out women to hire at the highest levels of state government is embarrassing because of the physical object which he says housed their résumés. Some pundits on the left have claimed the “binder” comment reflects a condescending or patronizing view towards women. But how might they react to a reported binder of Muslim Americans that was handed to the Obama White House in an effort to secure jobs within the admin? |
| It has taken more than four weeks, but the facts of the assault on the American consulate in Benghazi are slowly emerging.

| America’s two top pollsters, Gallup and Rasmussen, both increased Romney’s lead over Obama in the wake of the second presidential debate. With a one-third post-debate sample, today’s Rasmussen has Romney up 49-47% and Gallup’s 7-day tracker has Romney up 52-45%. Romney gained a point in both.

| As president, Obama will receive $191,300 annually for life — win or lose in next month’s election — and receives a travel allotment as well as mailing privileges. Should Obama lose, his presidential pension kicks in immediately after leaving office.
Given that the president enjoys a normal life span, the pension allotment would be worth upwards of $6 million. The federal budget spends about $3 million annually for the four living ex-presidents. Obama also will get Secret Service protection. In addition, Obama may be due a nice pension for the eight years he served in the Illinois Legislature as a state senator. Illinois is infamous for its lavish pension plan for former lawmakers. A Freedom of Information Act request for Obama’s pension amount submitted Wednesday to the General Assembly Retirement System of Illinois was not immediately answered, nor was a call to the Obama campaign. |

(music by The Rolling Stones)
Barry.. Barry…
When will those jobs all reappear?..
Barry.. Barry…
Why have you been such a “cash for clunker” these past 4 years?…
With no “American Exceptionalism” in your soul..
And no “American Flagpin” on your coat..
You can’t say with our Constitution you’re satisfied 😦
And Barry… Barry…
We all know you never cared or tried….
Barry.. you’re beautiful “eye-candy” 🙂
But on The View there was a shallowness in your eyes..
Barry.. Michelle still loves you…
But remember all those vacations & separate flights…. 😦
All those radical dreams you & Bill Ayers held so close..
Have seemed to all go up in smoke 😦
As Mitt & Paul whisper in America’s ear..
Barry…. Barry……
Will your failures lead to a “Benghazi” here?..
Oh Barry.. all your Liberals will weep… 😦
No more freebies but you can always send them a tweet…
We see the lunacy & madness in Biden’s eyes…..
But Barry… Little Barry….
Why did my Chevy Volt’s battery explode & die?…. 😦
With no “American Exceptionalism” in your soul..
And no “American Flagpin” on your coat..
You can’t say with our Freedoms you’re satisfied…
But Barry… Michelle still loves you baby..
Maybe next vacation you can take the same flight?…..
There ain’t a president that comes close to you..
Your tenure makes Jimmy Carter look wise…
But Barry… Barry….
Ain’t it good to tell Hillary bye-bye…..
Barry…. Barry………
Mitt’s that good & America will survive! 🙂
| With 19 days to go before voters pick the next president, Mitt Romney has picked an early newspaper endorsement from the New York Observer.
The weekly paper — which in 2008 backed Barack Obama against John McCain — made no bones about why it has changed parties, calling the Republican nominee “not a demagogue but a manager, a candidate whose experience is rooted in the pragmatism of the business world rather than the ideology of partisan politics.” The Observer, which claims to have the most affluent readership in the Big Apple, said Romney “understands how to build businesses, create efficiencies, make tough deals, and carefully consider divergent viewpoints.” “America needs a strong leader, a practical leader,” the paper continues in its endorsement. “Mr. Romney knows full well that it would be a tragic mistake to simply assume that the United States will continue to be the world’s economic powerhouse simply because that’s what we’ve been for decades.” The Observer says that in 2008 Obama “captured the imagination of many Americans with his thrilling message of change,” but has failed to deliver. “Given the challenges confronting the president — two raging wars and an unprecedented global economic collapse — the desire for a quick fix was unrealistic,” it says, adding that Obama’s presidency “so filled with potential, has failed to deliver the change America needs.” It adds, “Class warfare might be a successful strategy for cobbling together 270 electoral votes. But it’s not the way to unite a divided nation.” |
| Former New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu says Mitt Romney did a good job in the debate Tuesday night of showing what “a raw deal” the Barack Obama presidency has been for the American people.
Sununu acknowledged that Obama “exceeded expectations” in the debate, saying “more than an empty suit showed up.” Read more on Newsmax.com: Sununu: Obama’s ‘Been a Disgrace’ |
| Last Thursday morning, the headlines on National Public Radio were jubilant. “Jobless Claims Drop To Lowest Level In More Than Four Years,” they crowed. NPR’s anchors repeated the news in their hourly and half-hourly updates. The sudden, seasonally-adjusted drop–from 369,000 to 339,000 new claims–was touted by NPR and the rest of the mainstream media as timely evidence of economic recovery under President Barack Obama.
This week, jobless claims have soared to 388,000–a four-month high. But did NPR bother to revisit its cheerleading from the week before, or did it try to imply broader conclusions about the direction of the economy under Obama? http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2012/10/18/Media-Suddenly-Muted-on-Jobless-Claims |

Conscience, not skin color, must prevail.
Earlier this year, President Obama became the first president in American history to openly advocate for homosexual “marriage,” explicitly reversing his position from four years ago, when, at a forum in Saddleback Church in California, he stated his support for traditional marriage, saying that it was the biblical view he held.
I, along with many others in the black community, was very disturbed. I wish I could say I was shocked, but I never believed his word at Saddleback Church. I had followed his history and record. I knew he was always pro-abortion and for homosexual “marriage,” even though the Bible is clear about the dangers of such practices. Sometimes politicians say what is convenient at a certain time, and I think that’s why he originally stated his support for traditional marriage — it may be the reason he reversed his position as well.
In 2008, the black community as a whole voted almost as a single block for Mr. Obama. Blacks also overwhelmingly approved Proposition 8 in California, which banned homosexual “marriage” in favor of natural marriage during the same election. Conservative morals and values run deep in the black community. In the current election, we need to remember those roots when we go to the polls.
In 2008, many blacks voted for skin color. They, along with millions of others in the country, were so enticed by making history and were so caught up in the “hope and change” Mr. Obama promised to bring that they pulled the lever for Mr. Obama out of euphoria instead of voting according to their values and morals.
This time, in 2012, I beg my brothers and sisters in the black community to look past color and vote for God’s values, not those of a particular political party.
I was in an African-American church in Virginia earlier this month, and afterward many people came up to me with tears in their eyes. Regarding the 2008 election, they said, “I just didn’t know what to do; I just didn’t know. But now you say there are other people on the ballot, like state and local levels. There are referendums and constitutional issues. If I can’t vote for any candidate in the presidential slot, at least I can write someone in.”
Don’t ever say I’m going to vote for the lesser of two evils. No, we can’t think that way. We are not voting for evil. We are voting for the best candidates possible.
Early on in Mr. Obama’s campaign, people came to find out that I opposed his agenda, and I took criticism from friends and family and even other pastors. They thought the black community would be influential in the Obama administration. Besides, we all would be praying for him. While I don’t doubt the power of prayer, Mr. Obama has done very little, if anything, to help the black community. In fact, he has turned his back on the very values that are the moral backbone of the black community.
The damage to natural marriage and family that he is attempting to inflict is going to be devastating to black Americans. We are all concerned about the economy right now. When natural marriage is destroyed, the doors are flung wide open to divorce, a costly venture that I know about firsthand. The suffering children experience is amplified as they lose their fathers. Society suffers financially from these behaviors that go against God’s law. If we want our lives to be blessed and our pocketbooks to be blessed, we must vote God’s values.
Blacks have a voice, and we must use it. We must vote for natural marriage and against anything that threatens this sacred union. We have to vote God’s way. If we do that, God will bless us and guide us.

Man alive, can you imagine the media reaction if in 2008 Obama was thisclose to winning the presidency and dozens of citizens made public death threats against him? Between the tweets collected at Twitchy and Info Wars, the Secret Service will have plenty to keep them busy for the next few weeks. But the media has shown no interest whatsoever in what is a legitimate story.
The corrupt media’s ignoring it for two reasons. First off, they just don’t care about death threats against Republicans. What you have there is a sort of depraved indifference. Secondly, reporting on death threats against Romney will make him a sympathetic character, and three weeks from an election, there’s no way in the world the media will allow that to happen.
Everyday Americans in the form of Tea Partiers garner all kinds of brutal media attention if they use the word “socialist.”
Everyday Americans in the form of Obama supporters taking to Twitter to threaten the life of a potential president and to foment a violent atmosphere against him garner absolutely no attention.
Regardless of the outcome, after the election, the media’s going to try and rehabilitate itself.
We cannot allow that to happen.

Benghazi: Emperor Obama’s Waterloo?By Daren Jonescu On the morning of September 12, Obama and Clinton gave a that every sentient being could immediately recognize as a pack of lies, delivered (particularly on Obama’s part) with the conviction and intonation of a child actor doing a first read-through of a new script. The president could not have projected less seriousness about the murder of his Libyan ambassador if he had delivered his speech wearing a propeller beanie. (Of course, as we learned during the vice-presidential debate, someone else has dibs on that cap on weekdays.) Though vague about details, Obama and Clinton were clear, unequivocal and emphatic about a few key points during that official statement: (1) this assault on the Libyan consulate was an expression of understandable anger in the Arab world about a YouTube video mocking Muhammad; (2) the American government will not tolerate any intolerance toward Islam; and (3) violence – even as an expression of understandable anger over “disgusting” and “offensive” YouTube videos – never solves anything. The administration, through its various mouthpieces, continued to emphasize these three points over the days and weeks following the Libyan consulate assassination/movie review. As time passed, however, and various truth missiles from beyond Washington’s reach found their way through Obama’s media defenses and into the American mainstream, the fissures in the government’s official story became increasingly inescapable, even to those who had desperately hoped to help Obama escape them. Obama himself, in his town hall interview on September 21, fell back on his original script, connecting the attack to a “natural protest” (“natural”?) about a video, days after his own administration had begun to pull away from this script in the face of ridicule and exposure. So indefensible has this grand lie become that Martha Raddatz, though thoroughly devoted to the task of holding Joe Biden’s hand through his debate with Paul Ryan, was forced to begin the evening with a carefully worded question about the lie:
Biden’s response, naturally, ignored the thrust of the question, repeating the usual talking points about “the ongoing investigation” before quickly moving on to praise the broader Obama foreign policy. But the phrasing of Raddatz’s question is itself part of the issue. Much like George Stephanopoulos’ famous question to Obama regarding his relationship with Bill Ayers, it was designed and framed, not to discover anything, but to give the Democrat a chance to answer an unavoidable charge, and then move on. Notice that the question was not, “Why did Obama and his surrogates run immediately to the media, to the American public, and to the UN, to blame a YouTube video and downplay any talk of a planned terrorist attack, when this was in fact an Al-Qaeda operation with no connection whatsoever to any video?” “Intelligence failure” is a cute way of deflecting blame from the administration itself. “Failure” suggests error and ignorance, rather than dishonesty and duplicity. Blaming the “intelligence” is a clever attempt to produce some “fog of history” around the initial moments of this story, in the hope that the public will accept the inaccuracy of the administration’s official narrative as an honest mistake. But the primary scandal here, masked by the establishment media’s new “intelligence failure” trope, is not that an assault on the Libyan consulate occurred “without warning” — there was warning — but rather that the government knowingly and repeatedly lied about the attack’s cause and meaning. Candy Crowley’s unconscionable intervention into the second presidential debate, falsely affirming that President Obama attributed the Benghazi attack to pre-meditated terror in his September 12 Rose Garden address, has merely served to keep in the public eye the trail of deception and misdirection as the administrations scrambles to reconcile its multiple conflicting stories about the terror attack. Do a quick internet search about the Arab protests over the YouTube video. You will find that every story is dated September 11 or later. No one was talking about this video at all prior to that time frame. How did it become the administration’s convenient “root cause” cover story in the hours after the Benghazi attack? And why were they so quick and unequivocal in embracing a storyline which, as we now know, was completely unsupported by any facts? The video — a purported “trailer” for an alleged film — was posted on YouTube in July. No one saw it or cared, until, on September 8, Sheikh Khaled Abdullah, a host on the Egyptian Islamist TV station Al-Nas, played an excerpt from it on the air. (Note: Al-Nas altered the video, blurring out a female character, because they do not allow women to be seen on the air.) Three days later, which just happened to be September 11 (“don’t jump to conclusions,” the White House warned), a larger than usual group of “protesters” swarmed the American embassy in Cairo. As Ian Lee, the CNN reporter on the scene, noted during his from Cairo that day, this was “not the usual crowd that we see at most protests,” but rather “definitely a very Islamic-looking crowd — we see a lot of men in their traditional garb.” Members of this “very Islamic-looking crowd” tore down the embassy’s American flag and replaced it with a black al-Qaeda flag. Then, within hours, came the “intelligence failure” in Libya, in which hundreds of armed movie critics, knowing exactly where to look, attacked both the U.S. consulate and an alternate safe-house location, killing the ambassador and three of his protectors — protectors who, as Lieutenant-Colonel Andrew Wood , were woefully undermanned and ill-armed, due to the administration’s explicit refusal to provide requested reinforcement, and the State Department’s explicit demand to stop asking for reinforcement. By September 12, mainstream media sources from everywhere but the United States were reporting on this attack as an al-Qaeda plot carried out behind the thin cover of “ordinary protesters.” These media sources were relying on statements from members of the Libyan government, reports from witnesses on the scene, and even statements from “U.S. officials.” For example, Reuters, while spouting Obama’s official line, also neglected, in the confusion of those early hours, to delete the actual reporting that had slipped into its original story:
Ansar al-Sharia has been identified as the name of a variety of al-Qaeda front groups. Within hours of the attack, while many of the details remained understandably confused, and while the White House was preparing its official position — to paraphrase, “we despise our deplorable infidels as much as you do, so please stop killing our ambassadors” — the BBC was reporting eye-witness accounts of Ansar al-Sharia’s involvement. On September 11, the Daily Telegraph described al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri’s message, issued on September 10, calling for jihadists to “puncture” America’s arrogance in revenge for the death of Libyan al-Qaeda commander Abu Yahya al-Libi. The next day, following the murder of Ambassador Stevens, the Telegraph observed, pointedly, that (a) Zawahiri’s message of September 10 was too late to have provoked such a carefully planned and successfully staged attack, and (b) the calls for protests against the video seemed to have fallen on deaf ears in Libya, as no protest took placein the capital, Tripoli, where the actual U.S. embassy is located. The efforts, in the days immediately preceding September 11, of a hard line Egyptian Islamist broadcaster, along with the official head of al-Qaeda, to drum up protests and anger against the evil empire, in conjunction with the well-orchestrated attack in Benghazi on the very day those protests were to be staged, suggests more than an opportunistic connection between the two. Rather, it seems plausible that Islamists were attempting to stoke general public protests as a smokescreen for their assault team(s), or perhaps that they hoped, having drawn a crowd, to commandeer the assembled mob in order to swell their jihadist numbers, in a well-known strategy of militant revolutionary groups worldwide. (This technique was attempted by the Weather Underground, for example, during Chicago’s Days of Rage in 1969.) The key to this Slow and Spurious scandal, however, is that all of this information — Libyan officials’ descriptions of a planned attack, eye-witness accounts of armed Ansar al-Sharia militants approaching the consulate, the direct involvement of al-Qaeda’s leader in calling for revenge for the death of a Libyan commander, repeated requests from Ambassador Stevens and his security team for more resources, and, obviously, the fact that this was the eleventh anniversary of September 11, 2001 — was readily accessible to the entire world on September 12. And yet on that same day Obama and Clinton, who would have had access to all of this information and more, issued their joint statement explicitly blaming the whole thing on a cheap video exhibiting disrespect for Islam, a narrative the administration and its media enablers attempted to cling to for weeks, while the rest of the world — along with Americans who seek their information beyond the bubble of the American legacy media — was learning more and more about the horrors and indignities of the ambassador’s murder, and the extent of the planning and security breaches that made it possible. (More on this latter issue from James Lewis atAmerican Thinker.) Hundreds of armed men carried out a carefully planned attack in a public place. Many witnesses described the events. U.S. and Libyan personnel who were at the scene, and survived, were already being debriefed on the attack. The real question is not, “Wasn’t this a massive intelligence failure?” The administration’s new template of “intelligence failure” is just a convenient and untenable diversion from the central issue. Rather, the real questions are: Why did the president and the secretary of state try to hide the facts about this attack, facts that were being reported by mainstream media sources in Europe and Canada from day one? Why did they try to deny that this was a planned al-Qaeda operation? Why did they repeatedly recite and disseminate the script about a “deplorable” video, and their disavowal of “religious intolerance,” when they knew that Ambassador Stevens’ death had nothing to do with any video, or any slight against Islam? Why did the world have to suffer through weeks of conflicting and contradictory tales from the administration, as they tripped all over each other trying to conceal their own obfuscations? Current events reveal the complete and tragic disaster of Obama’s Middle East policy of combining appeasement, apology, and empathy for Islamists with showy targeted attacks on individual terrorists. This policy has turned most of the region into civilization jihad’s playground, and signaled open season on representatives of the self-emasculated Great Satan. The Bush policy may have been foolish. The Obama policy is suicidal. The coordinated and concerted effort to conceal the relevant facts about the Libyan attack is merely the final and most egregious lie in the continuing cover-up of the realities of Arab Spring, and the Obama administration’s complicity in this reality. And this cover-up is, in turn, just one facet of the sparkling jewel of subterfuge, concealment, and untruth that is the Obama presidency. Will the Benghazi cover-up become Obama’s Waterloo? If so, then it is fitting that in this Battle of Waterloo, the role of the Duke of Wellington, the emperor’s nemesis, will be played by Truth itself, which, as Shakespeare wrote, will out. http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/10/benghazi_emperor_obamas_waterloo.html#ixzz29eXPsTDi |
CNN MANAGING EDITOR SENDS STAFF EMAIL DEFENDING CROWLEYLate this afternoon, TMZ reported a leaked email from CNN Managing Editor Mark Whitaker to the staff of CNN, defending disgraced second presidential debate moderator Candy Crowley. It’s a full-throated list of Barack Obama talking points. Here’s the email:Let’s start with a big round of applause for Candy Crowley for a superb job under the most difficult circumstances imaginable. She and her team had to select and sequence questions in a matter of hours, and then she had to deal with the tricky format, the nervous questioners, the aggressive debaters, all while shutting out the pre-debate attempts to spin and intimidate her. She pulled it off masterfully. The reviews on Candy’s performance have been overwhelmingly positive but Romney supporters are going after her on two points, no doubt because their man did not have as good a night as he had in Denver. On the legitimacy of Candy fact-checking Romney on Obama’s Rose Garden statement, it should be stressed that she was just stating a point of fact: Obama did talk about an act (or acts) of terror, no matter what you think he meant by that at the time. On why Obama got more time to speak, it should be noted that Candy and her commission producers tried to keep it even but that Obama went on longer largely because he speaks more slowly. We’re going to do a word count to see whether, as in Denver, Romney actually got more words in even if he talked for a shorter period of time. This is ridiculously biased, partisan, and stupid – or, as CNN might put it, brilliant. CNN’s a joke. Candy Crowley’s a joke. They’re perfect for each other. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2012/10/17/CNN-sends-letter-to-employees-defending-crowley |
What’s with all the debates moderated by left wing hacks?
—
According to the CNN debate clock, President Obama spoke at greater length than Mitt Romney during both debates, as did Vice President Biden during his debate with Paul Ryan. In the first debate, Obama spoke for 3 minutes, 14 seconds more than Romney — which means he got 8 percent more talking time than Romney. In last night’s debate, Obama spoke for 4 minutes and 18 seconds longer than Romney, giving him 11 percent more talking time. Obama talked for 52 percent of the time when either man had the floor, while Romney talked for 47 percent.
| “After hearing my husband talk about his values and his vision at the debate last night, I’m pretty fired up,” she said. “Let me tell you, I am so glad last night was such an awesome, awesome event,” she said. She mention her recent anniversary on Oct 3, the night of first debate. “We got a quick little dinner. That’s about it,” she said. “But it’s okay. On Nov. 7 we’re going to party hard.” |
What in the world is “exercise science?” Young Jeremy asked Obama and Romney whether he’s gonna have a job when he graduates. Well, Jeremy, what did your market research tell you? What is the demand for exercise science graduates? What do the salary surveys tell you? What’s the anticipated career path? How many other exercise science grads will you be competing against? How are your grades? Do you have any practical experience? What value do you intend to bring to the job market?
What is with all of these people expecting politicians to give them jobs? I can tell you Romney’s not going to give you a job because it doesn’t work like that. You will have to compete and prove you are the best person for any OPEN positions.
I would like to know how much a degree in exercise science costs and what percentage of the total cost is subsidized by taxpayers (tuition usually covers a third or less of university operating expenses). How much money is the country wasting on that kind of garbage?
Give him a job! Giver her a job! It’s not fair!

By scoring big on the economy, gas prices, and Libya, Romney continued his victorious string of debate wins. He looked more presidential than Obama did and showed himself to be an articulate, capable, attractive, compassionate leader with sound ideas.
Obama came over as boorish and Biden-esque. He did not learn from his Vice President’s mistakes. When a president gets into a bar room brawl, he loses his dignity and his aura, key assets for an incumbent. Romney was polite but firm. Obama seemed quarrelsome, frustrated, nasty, and cranky.
But the key reason for the Romney win was substantive:
1. Romney made very clear the case against Obama’s economic record and Obama’s rebuttal about 5 million jobs was pathetic.
2. Romney injected the China issue, big time, and tapped into a strong public sentiment on the issue.
3. Romney made the effective case that Obama is anti-oil, coal, and gas and that this has doubled gas prices.
4. Romney was very effective in differentiating himself from Bush-43 and in establishing that, unlike the GOP of the past, he was for small businesses not big businesses
5. Romney rebutted the attacks on him over Chinese investments.
6. Romney explained his tax plan well and to everyone’s satisfaction.
7. Obama erred in trying to make us believe that he always felt Libya was a terror attack. We all heard him blame the movie.
Obama scored points over the 47% statement by Romney, immigration, and by his response to the accusation that he went to Vegas after the murder of the Ambassador.
But this debate goes to Romney. It seals his momentum and will lead to a big win.

ANALYSIS/OPINION:
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — Another debate, another debacle for America’s media.
In the runup to the second presidential debate, CNN’s Candy Crowley declared that she would not just be a “fly on the wall” as she played the tiny role of moderator, that she would step in whenever she chose to say, “Hey, wait a second, what about X, Y, Z?”
And boy did she, cutting off Republican Mitt Romney repeatedly and often throwing the floor to President Obama with an open “let me give the president a chance here.”
More, she alone decided the topics for the debate, picking questions from the 80 so-called “undecided” voters chosen by the Gallup polling organization. Her selections were tailor-made for Mr. Obama — Mitt Romney’s tax plan, women’s rights and contraception, outsourcing, immigration, the Libya debacle (which gave Mr. Obama to finally say that the buck stops with him, not, as Hillary Clinton said, with her).
She even chose this question, directed to both men: “I do attribute much of America’s economic and international problems to the failings and missteps of the Bush administration. Since both of you are Republicans, I fear the return to the policies of those years should you win this election. What is the biggest difference between you and George W. Bush, and how do you differentiate yourself from George W. Bush?”
Ms. Crowley, who called Mr. Romney’s selection of Rep. Paul Ryan as running mate a “ticket death wish,” asserted her unilateral power at the outset, telling the audience before the cameras went on that she planned to “give the debate direction and ensure the candidates give answers to the questions.”
After both candidates answered Question One, she blurted: “Let me get a more immediate answer” — whatever that means. But when Mr. Romney sought to correct falsehoods told by the president, she cut him off: “We have all these folks here.” In the end, Mr. Obama would get 9 percent more time.
At Question Two, Mr. Obama, asked by Mr. Romney how much he had cut federal oil permits, took over the floor — with Ms. Crowley’s silent approval. “Here’s what happened,” he said as he filibustered for a full minute. Mr. Romney sought to get the last word — as the president had the question before — but the moderator shut him down: “It’ doesn’t quite work like that.”
When Mr. Romney sought to counter Mr. Obama’s assertion after Question Three, Ms. Crowley again cut him off: “Before we get into a vast array….” she said before asking a completely different question.
The next question was pure Obama — workplace inequality (the president mention at every stop his Lily Ledbetter legislation). But the query gave him the platform to demand Americans pay for contraception for all women, saying the governor “feels comfortable having politicians in Washington decide the health care choices that women are making.”
For the record, Mr. Obama spoke for two minutes, then Mr. Romney, then Mr. Obama again. Ms. Crowley then rushed into the next question.
When the immigration question came up, both candidates gave their answers. Then the moderator once again butted in, ordering Mr. Romney to “speak to the idea of self-deportation.”
By then, Mr. Romney had had enough, and talked over her demands. “No, let — let — let me go back and speak to the points the president made and — and — and let’s get them correct.”
At the next question, the moderator lost all control. “Candy,” Mr. Obama said. “Hold on.” “Mr. President,” the governor said, “I’m still speaking.” They mixed it up for a bit, then Ms. Crowley said: “Sit down, Mr. Romney.”
The most shocking exchange took place on the Benghazi attack that left the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three others dead.
Mr. Romney: “You said in the Rose Garden the day after the attack, it was an act of terror? It was not a spontaneous demonstration, is that what you’re saying.”
Mr. Obama made no defense. “Please proceed, governor.”
“I want to make sure,” Mr. Romney said. “Get the transcript,” the president said. Then Ms. Crowley jumped in to do her own fact-check, on the spot. “It — it — it — he did in fact, sir. … He did call it an act of terror.”
The truth is, he didn’t. The day after the attack, he said only this: “No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for.” It took another two weeks before the White House would label the attack an act of terror.
The Obama people, of course, loved it — having blamed Mr. Obama’s dismal performance in the first debate on poor moderating.
“He’s back,” said Team O spokeswoman Jen Psaki, who lauded Ms. Crowley for her fact checking.
But then she caught herself and quickly added: “He was never really gone, but he’s back.”
MICHELLE BROKE RULES, LED APPLAUSE AT DEBATE…During the heated exchange over President Obama’s failure to describe the attacks at the American consulate in Libya a terrorist act, the audience at last night’s debate in Hofstra University broke out into applause several times, defying the strict rules laid out beforehand. In this revealing clip, first lady Michelle Obama is seen (at the 19 second mark, dressed in fuchsia at the bottom of the screen) as leading a round of applause after moderator Candy Crowley sides with Barack Obama in the dispute. Here is a picture of Mrs. Obama after the debate where she is clearly wearing the same dress as seen in the clip:

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/10/16/Live-Debate-Fact-Check-and-Analysis
This was not a debate, as advertised, but an interrogation of Mitt Romney. It was a test he passed, but that cannot excuse Crowley’s behavior, which far exceeded anything Martha Raddatz was accused of last week. Some advice for Republicans: do not accept mainstream media liberals as the only debate moderators; do not accept the mainstream media’s false premises as a basis for answering questions; and do not accept a setup of “undecided” voters in a liberal state where “undecided” is often the difference between center-left and far-left.
8:45 p.m. EDT: Welcome to our live fact-check of the Second Presidential Debate. I will be fact-checking, in real time, the statements of both candidates and the moderator, as well as–when necessary–the members of the audience who will be posing questions. I will also provide analysis throughout the course of the evening.
9:06 p.m. EDT: Romney answers first–responding to a question about how to create more jobs for students graduating from college. He also discusses student debt and mentions the scholarship program he started as governor of Massachusetts to provide assistance to the top 25% high school students in the state. Romney discussed that program at the Republican National Convention, but we haven’t heard much about it since.
Obama, in response, attacks Romney for suggesting the auto industry should be allowed to go bankrupt. He refers to changes in the tax code–by which he means that he wants to end the supposed tax credit for shipping jobs overseas (which is meant to compensate for double taxation, something Obama never explains). It’s a promise he made in 2008 as well. He also talks about taxing the wealthy more to invest in American infrastructure. These are talking points that are familiar from the campaign trail–four years ago and today.
9:10 p.m. EDT: Romney responds to Obama’s charge of bankruptcy by pointing out that Obama did, in fact, take the auto companies bankrupt. Obama then responds, falsely, that Romney intended to take the companies into bankruptcy in order to shut them down and destroy one million jobs. It is a blatant lie. Here is what Romney actually said: “Detroit needs a turnaround, not a check….In a managed bankruptcy, the federal government would propel newly competitive and viable automakers, rather than seal their fate with a bailout check.” He argued for restructuring the auto industry without bailouts to make it more competitive and without burdening the taxpayer unnecessarily. Obama’s lie seems to have been made up on the spot.
9:15 p.m. EDT: In the course of an exchange about gas prices, Romney checks Obama’s claim that natural gas production has increased on his watch, pointing out that it has increased on private lands, but has lately decreased on federal lands. He adds that the federal government has been an obstacle to fossil fuel development, singling out North Dakota and the Keystone XL pipeline. Obama responds: “Very little of what Governor Romney says is true.” He claims that the administration has opened up federal lands–which is the opposite of what the Obama administration has just done in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska.
9:20 p.m. EDT: Obama hits Romney with a harsh but factual point–that, as governor of Massachusetts, Romney had opposed a coal plant and described it as dangerous. Romney doesn’t bother with that–he goes straight for Obama’s promise to increase production over the next four years by pointing out that he has not been a friend of production in the past four years. He argues Obama has cut permits in half–which Obama rejects. In a tense exchange, Romney challenges Obama to say how much he has cut permits. Obama never gives a figure, but talks about how some permits were not being used–a very partial and misleading answer.
9:22 p.m. EDT: Obama mocks Romney’s criticism of his green energy policies by calling green jobs real jobs, accusing Romney of opposing wind power. Not a great argument on the day one of his stimulus-funded green energy projects, A 123, declared bankruptcy.
9:25 p.m. EDT: A bit of analysis. This is an alpha-male contest. Both candidates are clashing over answers with which they disagree; both are interrupting; both are working the moderator. It’s great viewing for those of us who like an energetic debate. I’m not sure it’s impressing voters who complain that politicians spend too much time arguing and not enough time working together. Obama “started it,” for what that’s worth, but the first candidate to talk about reaching across the aisle–and to mean it–will probably win some approval.
9:27 p.m. EDT: A question from the audience asks Romney specifically about his tax plan and about the deductions that he would end. A fair question of Romney–but not fair in the context of a debate with Obama. Questions should apply equally to both candidates. We know that moderator Candy Crowley has selected all of the questions, so this reflects poorly on her, and would seem to confirm conservative worries about her bias.
9:30 p.m. EDT: Obama attacks Romney’s record on taxes, harshly, and cites Romney’s statements in his recent 60 Minutes interview, claiming that Romney said it was “fair” that he pays a lower tax rate than many other Americans (though Obama does not explain why, of course). Obama’s claim is misleading–what Romney referred to as “fair” was the principle of taxing capital gains at a lower rate than income. Obama’s own tax proposals reflect the same principle. So this is a false attack, using a false quote to create a false premise.
9:35 p.m. EDT: Obama bundles a whole series of attacks together into a claim that Romney wants to spend more and tax less without explaining the details of his program–and without making wealthy people like himself pay their fair share. (He even works in a reference to Big Bird!) Crowley, for what I believe is the second time in the debate, refuses to allow Romney to address or rebut anything that Obama says–she merely asks a follow-up question. Romney is too polite–and, under the circumstances, too smart–to protest. But it is clear that Crowley is playing down to the stereotype of the liberal moderator as a co-combatant for Obama.
9:37 p.m. EDT: Another selected liberal question–this time, about inequality in the workplace. Allegedly, the audience member says, women earn 72 cents for every dollar that men earn in the workplace. While that might be true for Obama’s White House, where men earn far more than women, it is a false picture of the workplace as a whole. In fact, in some sectors women earn more than men. But that’s not the point–the point is to set up Obama to talk about the Lily Ledbetter act–falsely described by Democrats as “equal pay for equal work,” but in fact an extension of the existing statute of limitations on discrimination lawsuits to lengths that discourage new hiring. The entire frame of the question–inequality–is also made to order for Obama’s line.
9:43 p.m. EDT: Obama attacks Romney for saying that employers should be allowed to decide whether their insurance should cover contraception. He also goes after Romney’s position that Planned Parenthood should not receive federal funding. This is playing into social issues and “women’s issues”–but not necessarily in a way that helps Obama. Romney could respond–but is not allowed to do so. Because, once again, Crowley moves the discussion along. This is absurd. It’s not a town hall meeting–it’s a kangaroo court.
9:45 p.m. EDT: Another anti-Romney question. Posed only to Romney: what differentiates you from George W. Bush? How about we ask Obama what differentiates him from Jimmy Carter? Or, you know, Hugo Chavez?
9:48 p.m. EDT: Another analytical point. As tough as it is for Romney to face a) questions screened to target him and b) attacks from his opponent to which he is not allowed to respond, he is doing well to return over and over again to the theme of jobs and how he would create them. Obama, with the benefit of a friendly audience and a moderator playing for the same side, has nothing to offer other than attacks. His voice is more high-pitched than usual–this is not “no-drama Obama”–and he is sacrificing gravitas for point-scrabbling.
9:51 p.m. EDT: Wow, a question specific to Obama. But not a cheap shot, like the past few questions to Romney–rather, a setup to allow Obama to talk specifically about promises he’s kept and his plans for the future. Crowley has disgraced herself. She has turned what should have been a debate into a trial by fire for Romney. That’s a sign of how far he’s come–but the opposite of what the debate process is supposed to be.
9:56 p.m. EDT: Romney responds to Obama by talking about all of the promises he failed to keep, and how “we can’t afford another four years” like Obama’s four. The strength of his answer is, once again, his emphasis on jobs. And he finds time, at the end, to talk about an alternative that would work better–the Reagan path. “The president has tried, but his policies haven’t worked.” (I would have liked to hear Romney give a summary of his own policies.) Obama walks toward the front, as if to rebut Romney. The constant walking back and forth is what I dislike most about town hall debates–it’s strange and awkwardly confrontational.
10:00 p.m. EDT: Another question aimed at Romney, this time on immigration. Romney handles it well, talking about his own beliefs and policies and challenging Obama’s record. Prediction: Obama will attack Romney for shifting on some facet or another of his own immigration policy.
10:02 p.m. EDT: In Obama’s rebuttal on immigration, Obama claims he has done everything he can to reform immigration–which is untrue, as was pointed out by Romney and in Obama’s interview with Univision last month. Obama promised to pass legislation, but did not bother–even when Democrats controlled Congress. Obama says that “we are a nation of laws”–but his own policies violate the rule of law by going around Congress and abusing prosecutorial discretion to defer the deportation of certain illegal immigrants. As predicted, Obama attacks Romney by alleging that he once held different positions–namely, pointing out that Romney said he would veto the Dream Act. But nothing in Romney’s answer is inconsistent with opposition to the Dream Act. It’s a straw-man argument. This time, Romney refuses to answer Crowley’s follow-up before he has corrected Obama’s attack and challenged Obama with the fact that he failed to propose legislation.
10:07 p.m. EDT: Romney closes his point on immigration by attempting to respond to an earlier criticism made by Obama that accused Romney of investing overseas. He points out–as Obama grins sheepishly–that Obama’s own pension is invested overseas. Obama’s response is merely that Romney’s pension is bigger–as if that settles thing. Crowley intervenes to cut Romney off, coming to Obama’s aid as she has several times.
10:09 p.m. EDT: “Who was it that denied increased security, and why?” A question directed specifically at Obama–and this time (for once)–it’s a real one, and goes to the heart of the Libya scandal. Obama dodges by talking about his initial reaction to the embassy attacks, and contrasts his response with Romney’s response, which was to criticize the Obama administration’s apology for an anti-Islam video that was a mere red herring. (Romney’s criticism was aimed at the response to the attack on the U.S. embassy in Cairo, not the response to the fatal attack on the consulate in Benghazi.) Of course, Obama does not bother to answer the question.
10:12 p.m. EDT: Romney responds by pointing to Obama’s own actions the day after the embassy attacks–specifically, continuing to appear at fundraisers and campaign events. He broadens the critique to Obama’s “whole policy in the Middle East.” This is a straightforward attack we have heard before, right down to the accusation that Obama went on an “apology tour” of the region. In deference to liberal critics, it is worth noting that the term “apology” is a metaphor and Obama did not actually apologize during his regional visits. He merely bowed to the Saudi king, attempted to appease Muslim critics of America, told the story of the creation of Israel as a mere compensation for the Holocaust, and so on. But no apology, strictly speaking.
10:15 p.m. EDT: The debate is now well and truly out of control. The audience bursts into applause at the moderator’s affirmation that Obama called the embassy attacks an “act of terror.” Romney–unwisely–walked into the ambush by giving Obama credit for something he did not actually say (see my article here). (Update 11:07 p.m.: Checking the transcript, it seems that Romney actually was challenging the premise.) This has been the only weak moment for Romney during the entire debate, and allowed Obama to enjoy a brief hit at his rival’s expense. (Tellingly, Obama’s high-pitched voice disappears shortly thereafter–back to no-drama Obama.) Crowley seems to have had a pang of conscience about letting Romney be abused, both by her and by the audience, and makes the point–from the moderator’s chair–that Romney is correct that the administration claimed for two weeks that the attack in Benghazi had been the result of a “demonstration.” Expect the left and the media (but I repeat myself) to celebrate this unfortunate and counterfactual exchange.
Romney, Obama, and Crowley were all wrong–but only Romney really suffered because of the uniquely warped setup of this debate, which Crowley has turned into an anti-Republican gauntlet. Despite her promise to ask follow-ups, she fails to point out that Obama did not answer the question that had been posed to him.
10:22 p.m. EDT: And to top it off… another question that favors Obama, this time on gun control. And the moderator, who failed to press Obama on his evasions in response to a direct question about the Libya scandal, presses Romney about his position on gun control, declaring from the moderator’s chair that Romney has changed his position. Obama, naturally, merely repeats the point, taking advantage of the setup. And although he does not add anything to what Crowley said, he insists on having more time to speak further.
10:30 p.m. EDT: The penultimate question revisits territory that has already been covered. China and overseas jobs. We’re not hearing anything that we haven’t heard before, from both sides. Obama is running his attack on Romney–his false attack–that the Republican nominee favors tax advantages for big businesses that ship jobs overseas. He does not talk about the fact that a) he failed to change anything about those supposedly unfair taxes in four years, and b) the tax adjustments are necessary because the U.S. is one of the only countries that taxes the overseas earnings of its companies, a distinct competitive disadvantage.
10:32 p.m. EDT: Crowley interrupts another Romney answer. It’s beyond absurd–it is, frankly, disgusting.
10:34 p.m. EDT: A final question–again opposed to Romney–though it’s a setup for a positive rebuttal, asking Romney what misperception of him he would most like to correct. As Romney says: “That’s an opportunity for me, and I appreciate it.” Boy, does he ever–it’s the only one he’s had. Romney replies that he cares about the “100 percent”–perhaps pre-empting Obama’s rebuttal, but also reminding people of the “47 percent” remark, which Obama had not yet used. Obama’s own answer to the question is that he does not believe that government creates jobs. That’s about as stark a lie as anything he’s said all night. And Obama–either unleashing an attack he had prepared, or picking up an attack Romney had invited–goes to a long speech about the 47 percent. And so the debate ends–with Obama reiterating the anti-Romeny misperception.
FINAL ANALYSIS: I think that Romney won overall, particularly on the economy. He did so against truly astounding opposition from the moderator, Candy Crowley, who selected a list of questions that were almost entirely geared to Obama’s perspective and aimed at Romney’s weaknesses. Crowley also interrupted nearly every single substantive rebuttal by Romney to accusations by Obama. The key for Romney was making nearly every question about jobs and economic growth. Overall, he also sounded more positive than Obama, who focused almost entirely on attacking his opponent. Romney made one significant error on Libya–an unforced, avoidable error based on the media’s own false premise. (Update: Again, I misinterpreted what Romney was doing–he was challenging the premise before Crowley intervened.) The effect was that Obama was let off the hook on Libya, and Crowley–instead of pressing Obama to answer the question he had been asked–allowed the audience to applaud the president, against the explicit rules of the debate and to Romney’s detriment. I thought both candidates missed many opportunities to appeal to national unity and to evoke bipartisanship.
The result? I think Romney more or less maintained his position, and likely his lead in the polls. I think Obama gained more from the debate, though, both because he had done so poorly the first time and because he was able to use the moderator, the questions (selected by the moderator), and the audience (undisciplined by the moderator) to whistle past his own culpability in the Libya scandal. The great loser is the American public.
Postscript: Here is the transcript of the exchange over Libya. It is now clear to me that Romney was attempting to challenge Obama’s claim before Crowley intervened in Obama’s favor. Perhaps Romney would have been better served simply by pointing out that Obama had dodged the question. Regardless, he was actually working towards debunking Obama’s claim–until Crowley, unwisely and unfairly, slapped him down:
ROMNEY: I — I think interesting the president just said something which — which is that on the day after the attack he went into the Rose Garden and said that this was an act of terror.
OBAMA: That’s what I said.
ROMNEY: You said in the Rose Garden the day after the attack, it was an act of terror.
It was not a spontaneous demonstration, is that what you’re saying?
OBAMA: Please proceed governor.
ROMNEY: I want to make sure we get that for the record because it took the president 14 days before he called the attack in Benghazi an act of terror.
OBAMA: Get the transcript.
CROWLEY: It — it — it — he did in fact, sir. So let me — let me call it an act of terror…
OBAMA: Can you say that a little louder, Candy?
CROWLEY: He — he did call it an act of terror. It did as well take — it did as well take two weeks or so for the whole idea there being a riot out there about this tape to come out. You are correct about that.
ROMNEY: This — the administration — the administration indicated this was a reaction to a video and was a spontaneous reaction.

CANDY’S FALSE FACT CHECK SAVES PRESIDENT, DERAILS DEBATE…
***UPDATE 4: Politico’s Dylan Byers: “After the debate, even Crowley seemed to acknowledge that she had erred.”
***UPDATE 3: Even Politico’s Mike Allen Crowley’s call.
***UPDATE 2: Even Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler says Crowley got it wrong: Obama “did not say terrorism.”
***UPDATE: After the debate, Anderson Cooper was the first member of the CNN post debate group to question whether or not Romney really got the Libya issue wrong. They then brought Crowley on and after all the damage she had done during the debate, she finally admitted that Romney was “right” but “picked the wrong word.”
Romney “picked the wrong word!” And for that sin the the referee ran onto the field and tackled the other guy!
This is a scandal; a total and complete media scandal committed by a woman who promised to violate her contract and to insert herself into the debate. All she did for weeks was brag about how she intended to grab the spotlight — and boy did she ever.
Absolutely disgraceful.
We’re done with the second presidential debate, but it was apparent 45 minutes in that between the questions Crowley chose and her handling of who was allowed to speak and when, that this debate was a total and complete setup to rehabilitate Barack Obama.
If these are truly undecided voters, they’re apparently undecided between Obama and the Green Party. Moreover, as I write this, Obama’s already enjoyed four more minutes of speaking time than Romney. In a ninety-minute debate, that’s a big deal.
The lowest and most dishonest part of Crowley’s disgraceful “moderation” was when she actually jumped into the debate to take Obama’s side when the issue of Benghazi came up. To cover for his and his administration’s lying for almost two weeks about the attack coming as the result of a spontaneous protest over a YouTube video, Obama attempted to use as cover the claim that he had called the attack a “terrorist attack” on that very first day during his Rose Garden statement.
Romney correctly disputed that.
Crowley, quite incorrectly, took Obama’s side and the crowd exploded.
Here’s what Obama said that day:
No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for.
Context matters and the context here is that Obama connected this “act of terror” to … a mob action over a YouTube video — not a deliberate terrorist attack. Obama was using the term generically and it would be almost two weeks before he used it again.
Let’s not forget that Susan Rice said declaratively on the five Sunday shows four days later that it was NOT an act of terror.
And during those two weeks the Obama administration lied like a rug. For Crowley to step in and attempt to correct Romney on a statement that is at best arguable, was completely out of line. The debate over this debate has only begun.
A Frank Luntz focus group made up mostly of former Obama voters say they now support Mitt Romney.
(About Romney): “Forceful, compassionate, presidential,” one participant said.
“Confident and realistic,” said another.
“Presidential,” another told Luntz.
“Enthusiastic,” another reacted.
“Our next president,” one man said.
“Dynamo, winner,” said one more.(About Obama): “He’s lied about everything. He lied to get elected in 2008, that’s why I voted for him. I bought his bull. And he’s lied about everything, he hasn’t come through on anything. And he’s been bullshitting the public,” one member of the focus group said.

Fundamental transformation folks, it takes time!…A reminder about the last plant-infested, CNN-run town hall debate
CNN’s Candy Crowley will be moderating tomorrow night’s second presidential debate. It will be a 90-minute town hall forum at Hofstra University on Long Island, east of New York City. Both the Obama and Romney campaigns signed a “memorandum of understanding” about how the debate will be run. But Crowley is already making noises that she plans to circumvent the agreed-upon rules and take control.
Do you remember what happened the last time CNN was in charge of a high-stakes “town hall” style campaign debate?
I do. Flashback: CNN/YouTube/plant debacle.
Refresher:
Concerned Young Undecided Person “Journey” = John Edwards supporter “Journey”
Concerned Undecided Log Cabin Republican supporter David Cercone = Obama supporter David Cercone
Concerned Undecided Mom LeeAnn Anderson = Activist for the John Edwards-endorsing United Steelworkers union LeeAnn Anderson
Concerned Undecided Gay Military Retiree Brig. Gen. Keith H. Kerr = Hillary/Kerry supporter and anti-”Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” activist Keith H. Kerr 11/30/07CNN’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policyIf any more political plants turn up at CNN’s presidential debates, the cable-news network will have to merge with the Home and Garden channel!
At CNN’s Democratic debate in Las Vegas two weeks back, moderator Wolf Blitzer introduced several citizen questioners as “ordinary people, undecided voters.” But they later turned out to include a former Arkansas Democratic director of political affairs, the president of the Islamic Society of Nevada and a far left anti-war activist who’d been quoted in newspapers lambasting Harry Reid for his failure to pull out of Iraq.
Yet CNN failed to disclose those affiliations and activism during the broadcast.

“At stake is nothing less than our position in the world, our standard of living at home and our constitutional freedoms,” Mr. Perot said in a statement released by the Romney campaign. “That is why I am endorsing Mitt Romney in his quest for the presidency. We can’t afford four more years in which national debt mushrooms out of control, our government grows, and our military is weakened. Mitt has the background, experience, intelligence and integrity to turn things around. He has my absolute support.”
The women of “The View” won’t get to throw cheap shot questions at Mitt Romney after all.
The GOP presidential candidate was slated to appear on the show Thursday, a program featuring an overwhelmingly left-of-center panel.
Now, Romney has changed his mind but his wife, Ann Romney, will keep her date with the ABC show.
“Over the weekend, his people said that he had scheduling problems, and would not be coming on with us, nor did they think he would reschedule,” Walters said. “We are sorry that we won’t have Governor Romney. He can change his mind, and we hope he does. It would be our pleasure to have him on the program.”
President Barack Obama has appeared repeatedly on “The View,” often making time for the show over talking one-on-one with world leaders.

(1) Political change happens, but suspension of the laws of gravity does not. Over a lifetime advising candidates in this country and abroad, some things have never changed:
-The oldest, most significant question in history of U.S. public opinion polling: Asked of voters “Is the country on the right or wrong track?” No incumbent underwater on this question–including very impressive candidates for dog catcher–gets re-elected. For more than two years, across the board, voter response to this central question has consistently been greater than 2 to 1 wrong track.
-”Independents.” Pretend what you wish, independents weren’t born politically a-sexual. The vast majority of them are, and will vote, Republican.
-Much like “right/wrong track,” one of the profound metrics or indicators in a presidential campaign is a president who cannot hit 50 percent approval among voters. Obama has consistently failed to reach 50 percent in over two years. Uh Oh.
-The single-most important signifier in the history of American campaigns is “Economy/Jobs.” Under Obama, the nation’s performance in this area sucks. People know it. I can’t promise you Obama can’t get elected with these numbers, but I can promise you nobody ever has.

Biased polls poor indicators of outcome
The average pollster is either biased or has terrible gut instincts. I have a history of predicting political winners and losers without ever taking a poll. I just take the pulse of the thousands of people I know from my background in sports (as a Las Vegas oddsmaker), business (as a CEO) and politics (as the former Libertarian vice presidential nominee, a conservative columnist and media personality). What I see and hear is a coming Mitt Romney landslide.
I have made a number of correct political predictions in the past.
For instance, in November 2004, just days before the presidential election, I predicted on CNBC a George W. Bush victory by 3 points and 30 electoral votes. Every poll at the time showed Sen. John F. Kerry in the lead. Mr. Bush won by 3 and 35. Newsmax called it the most accurate prediction of the 2004 presidential election.
In October 2006, I predicted on Fox News that the GOP would get slaughtered in the midterm election and lose Congress. It did.
In June 2012, when experts forecast a defeat for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker in his recall election, I predicted a Walker landslide victory of 7 to 10 points. He won by 7 despite reported Democratic voter irregularities.
I have been predicting a Romney victory from the beginning. In December 2011, I predicted Mr. Romney would win the GOP presidential nomination and go on to win the presidency. In spring 2012, after Mr. Romney clinched the GOP nomination, I predicted a Romney landslide victory in November. For the past month, as Mr. Romney has trailed badly in every poll, especially in the all-important battleground states, I have continued to predict a Romney landslide. Today, I’m making it official:
Mitt Romney will win the presidency, and it won’t be close.
I’m predicting a 5- to 7-point popular-vote victory, with an outside shot at 10 points. Electorally, it won’t be that close. Mr. Romney will win many states that went to Mr. Obama in 2008 — I predict wins in Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Virginia, Iowa, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Indiana. I predict he will win by 100 to 120 electoral votes. I’ll go out on a limb and say Mr. Romney even will win one or two Democratic “safe states” such as Michigan, Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
In the days before the first presidential debate, polls showed Mr. Romney trailing badly in most of those states. The polls are wrong. They are badly skewed toward Democrats. Despite these polls, Mr. Romney won the most lopsided victory in presidential debate history.
Here are the reasons why I predict a Romney victory:
The news media are ignoring signs of mass disgust with Mr. Obama. In the West Virginia Democratic primary, a felon got 40 percent of the vote against Mr. Obama. In deep-blue Massachusetts and Connecticut, GOP Senate candidates are even or leading in recent polls. In pro-union Wisconsin, Scott Walker won by a country mile. Worst of all for Mr. Obama, several recent polls show Mr. Romney competitive in Illinois — Mr. Obama’s home state — with Mr. Romney winning in the suburbs of Mr. Obama’s Chicago. Even in Cook County, the country’s biggest Democratic stronghold, Mr. Romney leads by double digits among independents (43-31) and white voters (53-40).
In 2008, Democrats controlled a majority of governorships. Today, Republicans control the majority of governorships. Presidential elections are always steered in each state by the party of the governor, the most powerful force in state politics.
After the 2010 census, electoral votes were added to states that usually lean Republican in elections: Texas, Florida, Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, South Carolina and Utah. Deep-blue states such as New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and Massachusetts lost electoral votes.
Follow the money trail. Yes, Mr. Obama is raising plenty of money, although some suspect it’s coming from illegal foreign contributors. Still, what happened in 2008, when Mr. Obama outspent Sen. John McCain 10-1, won’t happen in 2012. Mr. Romney will be even with Mr. Obama in the last two weeks of the election.
Christians will turn out in record numbers this year. Mr. Obama has offended Christians repeatedly. Last election, 20 million evangelical Christians did not vote. They will turn out in record numbers in 2012 to defeat the most anti-Christian president in U.S. history. Just recall the long lines at Chick-fil-A in August. I predict you’ll see those same lines on Election Day.
Voter rolls have been purged in 2012 of felons and illegals in many states — particularly Florida and Ohio. Turnout of Democrats will be nothing like in 2008.
The “enthusiasm factor” for Mr. Romney is huge. Conservatives are focused, intense, motivated and enthusiastic. Democrats who turned out for Mr. Obama in record numbers in 2008 are demoralized. I know several people who voted for him in 2008 but won’t do so again.
Finally, history proves that a majority of undecided voters break for the challenger. Mr. Romney will take most of the undecided voters on Election Day — just as Ronald Reagan did against Jimmy Carter in 1980.
I predict the same result: Mitt Romney will win in a landslide.
If I’m wrong, God help the United States of America.

Documents detailing multiple legal threats from the AFL-CIO and Florida Democratic Party operatives indicate a new effort to keep citizens from acting as election observers and assisting in the maintenance of their local voter rolls.
. . . Sure, in a D+9 alternate universe.

“Obama for America announced today that President Obama will vote early in Chicago on October 25th, and that First Lady Michelle Obama cast her Illinois absentee ballot by mail this morning. The President and First Lady are making history by voting early in person and by mail in order to promote the ease, convenience, and importance of voting,” according to the Obama campaign. http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/michelle-obama-votes_654559.html
This morning Washington Post & ABC released their latest poll of the presidential race. Naturally, they find Obama leading Romney by 3 points, 49-46. This is similar to their last poll, which found Obama leading by 2, 49-47. Similar, but very, very different. Their last poll had a D+3 sample. Today, though, to keep Obama where he was, they had to juice the sample to D+9. So, WaPo’s poll is based on an unrealistic best-case scenario for Democrat turnout, and Obama is still under 50%. Doom. This isn’t a poll. Its propaganda. But, its very weak propaganda. The WaPo tripled the Democrat’s advantage in this poll and Obama didn’t pick up any more support. The WaPo and ABC have, sadly, become addicts, needing higher levels of doping simply to maintain a level buzz. Hopefully, they can start rehab on November 7th.

The coal miners of Ohio, unlike some workers who are intimidated by their unions, are unafraid of standing tall and confronting the Obama Administration head-on.
You don’t have to be a coal miner to stand up and cheer for these men fighting for the truth. You just have to be a real American…

It should come as no surprise that President Obama will raise taxes if he is re-elected. But here’s the shocker: He will invite the United Nations to tax Americans directly. And the proceeds would go directly to the Third World. In this way, Barack Obama will, indeed, realize the dreams of his father.
The following are some very disturbing messages that were posted on Twitter recently … “If Romney wins I’m Starting a Riot….Who’s WIT ME???”
“I Hope The USA Is Well Aware That If In The Event This Character Romney Wins The Election, The People Will Start A Country Wide Riot! #Power”
“If Romney is elected president, its gon be a riot its gon be a riot.”
“If ROMNEY GETS IN THE WHITE HOUSE …U MIGHT AS WELL KILL ME NOW …..CAUSE ITS GONNA BE A ************ RIOT !!!”
“If Romney became President and took away welfare Downtown Cincinnati would become a riot”
“If Romney takes away food stamps 2 Chainzz in this bit IMMA START A RIOT”

The irony of ironies: The Biden-Ryan debate was more about foreign policy than the economy and jobs. And yet another irony: Paul Ryan, an expert on all things fiscal, revealed a much better knowledge base of foreign policy than anyone thought existed. Shows how smart and well-rounded he really is.
In fact, Ryan’s Benghazi slam, right out of the chute, won him the debate. This terrorist attack is going to be a huge presidential-race issue. Americans are furious at the Obama-Biden-Clinton stupidity and mismanagement surrounding the tragic Benghazi deaths. They are enraged at the Benghazi cover-up. Ryan accused Biden of malfeasance in every aspect of this tragedy. It was a tremendous body slam right from the start.
And Biden mislead everyone with a string of falsehoods. He said the administration did not have complete intelligence at the start of the crisis. But we now know they did have sufficient intelligence to realize that the killing of Ambassador Stevens and three others had nothing to do with spontaneous reactions to a YouTube video, and that it was a planned al-Qaeda attack.
Then Biden denied that the State Department asked the White House for stronger Benghazi security and was turned down on several occasions. But we know this to be true from various sources. We even know that State Department officials saw the Benghazi attack in real time. These untruths will dog Biden on the campaign trail.
The Benghazi round clearly went to Ryan. And later in the debate, when the discussion turned to Afghanistan, Iran, and Syria, Ryan went toe-to-toe with Biden, the supposed foreign-policy expert. He was every bit Biden’s equal and more, which is one of the surprising outcomes of this debate. The confidence factor in young Paul Ryan will rise as a result.
On the economy, not surprisingly, Biden adopted Obama’s redistributionist, tax-the-rich, go-after-the-millionaires approach. Ryan, the free-market capitalist, pounded hard for Mitt Romney’s tax-reform plan, which would lower tax rates across-the-board, provide new incentives for growth, and put limits on special deductions in order to balance-out revenues.
A clear choice emerged: Biden is for a government-directed economy. He blathered on about a non-existent, $5 trillion Romney tax cut for the rich, which Ryan easily parried. Heck, even the Brookings institute has pulled back from that charge. Biden also proudly touted a $1 trillion tax hike on successful earners. Now there’s a great idea to solve the worst economic and jobs recovery in modern times.
Ryan, in contrast, came out for free-enterprise, rewarding success, and creating opportunity, growth, and jobs. He was the candidate for lower tax rates, increased take-home pay for the middle class, and incentivizing investment and risk-taking for successful entrepreneurs.
However, Ryan should have said what Romney said a week ago: There will be a strict dollar cap on special tax deductions, probably a $20,000 limit that will be even lower for top earners who get a marginal tax-rate cut. This would have been a good specific to include in the tax-reform argument. It’s a huge revenue-raiser, at lower tax rates.
On the other hand, Ryan echoed a key Romney point: Obama’s leadership failure. Obama failed last year to get a grand-design deal, as chronicled in Bob Woodward’s book, The Price of Politics. This year, Obama was too busy campaigning and appearing on daytime TV to hash something out with John Boehner and the Republicans to avoid the recessionary fiscal tax cliff.Ryan also emphasized Romney’s successful bi-partisanship point: A Romney administration will be willing to reach across the aisle to get a grand-design package of spending reduction, pro-growth tax reform, and entitlement reform, exactly where Obama failed. Actually, I think the Romney bi-partisanship offer is big reason why the Romney-Ryan ticket is doing so well in the polls, particularly among undecideds and independents. These people want to see the parties work together to get these problems solved before America goes bankrupt and lapses into permanent, European-like stagflation.
Another key point: Obama has yet to provide a real reason why he should be reelected, and Biden failed completely to construct one. What is Obama’s raison d’être for reelection? No one knows. Including Barack Obama.
Finally, there was Biden’s snarky smile. His demeanor during the debate was very off-putting. It was like he was forcing his aggressiveness, attempting to make up for Obama’s lack of it a week ago. The fierce grins, the Ryan put-downs, the interruptions, the inappropriate laughter — it really hurt Biden.
Polls will show a Ryan victory in this debate. Perhaps Biden stopped the bleeding after the president got clocked in Denver and proceeded to chase Big Bird all over the country. Dumbest thing I’ve ever seen.
But the big point is this: Mitt Romney’s march to the White House continues, and it was helped mightily by Paul Ryan on Thursday night.

A nasty rift has opened up between President Barack Obama, former President Bill Clinton, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over the fallout from the terrorist attacks on the U.S. consulate in Libya that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens. This feud may undermine and threaten Obama’s reelection chances …
Joe Biden, who is Catholic, long ago left Catholic doctrine behind with his stand on abortion, and today the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) called him out on his lie in last night’s debate about Catholic institutions being exempt from government control.
Last night Biden said:
With regard to the assault on the Catholic Church, let me make it absolutely clear. No religious institution — Catholic or otherwise, including Catholic social services, Georgetown hospital, Mercy hospital, any hospital — none has to either refer contraception, none has to pay for contraception, none has to be a vehicle to get contraception in any insurance policy they provide. That is a fact. That is a fact.
No, it’s not, and the USCCB harshly condemned Biden for lying. In a statement, they said:
This is not a fact. The HHS mandate contains a narrow, four-part exemption for certain ‘religious employers.’ That exemption was made final in February and does not extend to ‘Catholic social services, Georgetown hospital, Mercy hospital, any hospital,’ or any other religious charity that offers its services to all, regardless of the faith of those served.

“DRAMA QUEEN”
(music by ABBA)
You can smirk.. you can jive..
Having the time of your life..
Ooooh see that veep.. making a scene..
sighing is the Drama Queen….Thursday night and the lights on Joe..
Distract & attack is where he’ll go 😦
Martha’s playin’ the right music..
Getting you in the swing..
You come in lookin’ to prop up your king…Barry Obama is that guy..
He had a bad night, but now you’ll set the record right…
With some canned zingers.. everything is fine..
You’re in the mood to dirty dance…
& you’ll drop em’ when you get the chance…
Chorus:
You are the Drama Queen…
Immature & demeans.. almost seventy…
Drama Queen.. feel the need..
To interrupt constantly…… oh yeah!
You can smirk.. you can jive..
Having the time of your life…
Ooooh see that creep.. making a scene..
sighing is the Drama Queen!……
You’re a jester.. you babble on..
Leave our embassy burning.. in “2014 we’re gone!”
Weasels covering for each other.. Any excuse will do..
The country’s in no mood for your song & dance 😦
Didn’t increase security when you had the chance!….Now you are the Drama Queen…
Immature & demeans.. almost seventy….
Drama Queen.. feel the need..
To interrupt constantly…… oh yeah!
You can smirk.. you can jive..
Having the time of your life…
Oooooh see that creep.. making a scene..
sighing is the Drama Queen……
fainting is the Drama Queen……NICE JOB BOZO! 🙂
Malarkey!
Perpetually grinning, shaking his head, and chuckling as Ryan spoke…“This is a bunch of stuff,” he said
of Ryan’s criticism that President Barack Obama had abandoned Israel by not going further in its sanctions to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
Hold it, I’m confused. I watched all of the vice presidential debate last night, and someone did not show up. Vice President Joe Biden was there, but where was the Ayn Rand-worshiping, rape-redefining, fanatically exercising zealot who wants to throw grandmothers off of cliffs and whose budget plan is, according to the president, “thinly veiled Social Darwinism” that is “antithetical to our entire history as a land of opportunity and upward mobility”? That Paul Ryan was nowhere to be found.
http://freebeacon.com/the-reality-principle/
The Obama campaign is struggling to respond to mounting criticism of Vice President Joe Biden’s bizarre behavior during last night’s debate with Rep. Paul Ryan …
A Wisconsin bus driver has been fired after telling a 12-year-old boy that he should have been aborted because his parents had a Mitt Romney campaign sign in their yard. Hey Joe, nice job.. you looked like Jack Nicholson’s stunt double in “The Shining” last night.. and your constant disrespectful interruptions were “A BIG F’IN DEAL!” I’m sure voters will think of you better suited for a bar room instead of the oval office on Nov 6!
“GOOD OL’ VEEP”
(music by Waylon Jennings – Dukes of Hazzard Theme)Just a good ol’ veep..
Never meanin’ no harm..
Beats all with his faux pas,
Got his boss in trouble come the fall,
Dems regret the day Joe was born……Straight-up stupidity & nerve..
Flat-out gaffes & spills..
Someday the voters might get ’em,
But common sense never will……Chorus:
Diggin’ political Graaaaaaaves……
As only JoeBlow knows how…..
Well that’s just a little bit more than Barry O will allow 😦Just that good ol’ veep..
Wouldn’t change (or wise up) if he could..
& sayin’ Barack’s got a big stick was just misunderstood…Yee-haw!!
