I was tired of Meesh & Barry..
We’d been together too long..
Like a worn out recording..
Of a cheesy pop song..
So while their surrogates were chirpin’..
I read the paper instead..
And in the editorial columns..
There was this “no spin” letter I read:

I didn’t think about Meesh & Barry..
I know that sounds kind of mean..
But me and old JoeBlow Biden..
Had fallen into the same old idiotic routine 😦
So I wrote to the paper..
Took out a no spin ad..
And though I’m just a guitar playin’ poet..
I thought it wasn’t half-bad:

I’VE HAD ENOUGH OF THEIR GAMES..
I’M NOT MUCH INTO McCHELLE’S HEALTH FOOD 😦
I AM INTO McDONALD’S SHAKES 🙂
I’VE GOT TO MEET YOU BY TOMORROW NOON..
AND CUT THROUGH ALL THEIR REDTAPE..
AT A TEAPARTY RALLY..
IS WHERE WE’LL PLAN OUR ESCAPE!…

So I waited with high hopes..
As the gathering took place..
I knew her smile in an instant..
I knew the curve of her face..
It was that lovely Sarah Palin lady..
And she said, “awe GG it’s you”..
Then we laughed for a moment..
And I said, “I always knew:”

WE DON’T WANT MORE OF THE SAME!
WE’RE NOT INTO THEIR SLOGANS..
WE HAVE FULLY FUNCTIONING BRAINS!
WE LIKE MAKING STUFF & HAVING RIGHTS..
SCREW THEIR REGULATION & WASTE!
CONSERVATIVES ARE THE LEADERS WE’VE LOOKED FOR..
SUPPORT ALL OF THEM & WE ESCAPE!! 🙂
