Obama’s Fallon Appearance Violated Campaign Law

by on April 26, 2012
Not only was this appearance in violation of equal time law, it was clearly an in-kind contribution by NBC to the Obama campaign. As the Federal Elections Commission states, “A donation of services is … considered an in-kind contribution.” Under applicable law, contribution of broadcast time is considered such a service. This was a campaign commercial for Obama, and the Obama campaign was not charged for it. A minute of network time can cost up to a couple million dollars; this segment ran a full five minutes. There is no doubt that Obama was given millions of dollars of free advertising time, and the Romney campaign should invoke all available law to make that clear.

NBC should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Mitt Romney should be given equal time, and an equally sycophantic propaganda piece by Fallon. Obama should be ashamed of himself (though, of course, he has no capacity for shame).

Wondering if a PAC or sympathetic Republican group can bring suit against Obama/Fallon/NBC for violating campaign finance law? What good is a law if Congress has to initiate proceedings and everything they do is based on political expediency?

“slow jam” defines this clown’s policies perfectly! he and Moochelle should keep up their appearances on tv so when they get booted this fall they will be primed for their own show “celebrity politician” or “dirtydancin’ w/ da stars” – what a freakin’ loser 🙂 and what a Contrast to Mitt speaking bout the same time! The Uniter having a Pro-American growth conversation – while the Divider plays the fool thinking he’s so cool – paaaathetic off the charts!

Yea right. Look what they did to Michele Bachmann. All she got was a belated, “sorry,” and the story was brushed under the rug. It’s shameful that the president would even go on this show.

What’s gonna happen?? NOTHING!!!! Can anyone DO anything about this? WILL anyone do anything about this? Yes, the FCC could. But then, who runs that agency? Obama’s Czar. He’s managed to take an awful lot of control in this country, now hasn’t he.

However, if we take back the White House and Congress in November, we can then do something about the lawlessness and we can impeach the remainder of Obama’s lackeys hanging around in Washington.

I don’t know why Americans have forgotten the power of impeachment, which applies to all elected officials and to Judges, as well. The provisions were made for exactly these abuses of power and power-grabs.

    REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER!!!
