| The awful truth is beginning to dawn on the left. The magic words on which they have relied to make government grow may not work anymore. The consequences could be catastrophic for progressives. So it isn’t hard to understand why the progressives would visualize a Supreme Court ruling against ObamaCare as “unprecedented.”

An Open Letter to President Obama Regarding “Flexibility”
Dear Mr. President,
We live in a dangerous world. American strength and American constancy are critical to the preservation of peace. Too often, the United States under your leadership has been neither strong nor constant. Your inadvertently recorded remarks to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in South Korea raise questions about whether a new period of even greater weakness and inconstancy would lie ahead if you are reelected.
Here is a transcript of the exchange, which leads us to a number of important questions that demand answers:
President Obama: On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it’s important for him to give me space.
President Medvedev: Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you…
President Obama: This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.
President Medvedev: I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.
What do you mean by “flexibility?” Flexibility to do what?
In addition to these broad questions, your words to President Medvedev raise more specific questions on a range of issues.

| The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee said Wednesday that five employees associated with the recently scandal-plagued Government Services Administration went to Hawaii for up to a week in 2011 to attend an hour-long ribbon cutting on space leased by the federal government for the FBI.
Details of the incident surfaced in a transcript of an interview between the GSA Inspector General’s Office and a GSA employee. The employee indicated to the IG investigator that trip was not isolated and that there was another, longer junket scheduled for Hawaii this fall. That one would be in Hilo, Hawaii for 10 days and would include ribbon cuttings for a federal building, a post office and perhaps a courthouse. The transcript indicates that some of the GSA employees went snorkeling during their free time in the mornings. The House panel is one of two in the chamber that will hold hearings about the GSA scandal next week. In October 2010, a GSA division spent more than $823,000 at an employee-training conference in Las Vegas. During the investigation and the released of the Inspector General’s report this month, videos surfaced of employees do skits about the lavish spending. And top agency officials have resigned |
Congressional Black Caucus Chairman faces Bank of America suit, but could be bailed out by taxpayers
Congressional Black Caucus Chairman Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.), who is facing a lawsuit for failing to pay down a 2002 Bank of America loan that he used to buy a car wash in Missouri, could have a good chunk of the $1.5 million he owes paid off by taxpayers.
According to the Kansas City Star, the Small Business Administration (SBA) backed about three-quarters of Cleaver’s 2002 loan, which means that if the loan goes bad, the SBA could pay off $1.1 million of that debt.
But if $240,000 in unpaid interest and nearly $60,000 in late fees and other charges is added, Cleaver now owes more than $1.5 million, more than the original loan value.

The apparent lack of racial diversity at the Obama campaign headquarters comes at a time when the national black unemployment rate is nearly double the rate for whites. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 14 percent of blacks are currently unemployed, compared with 7.3 percent of whites. According to data, the black unemployment rate among 16- to 19-year-olds is 40.5 percent, compared with 22.5 percent for whites. In Illinois, the black unemployment rate—as high as 28 percent.

“I am writing you to ask you why, when the law of the land is crystal clear, is your office not arresting the New Black Panthers for hate crimes?” the family member wrote to Holder. “The Zimmerman family is in hiding because of the threats that have been made against us, yet the DOJ has maintained an eerie silence on this matter. These threats are very public. If you haven’t been paying attention just do a Google search and you will find plenty. Since when can a group of people in the United States put a bounty on someone’s head, circulate Wanted posters publicly, and still be walking the streets?”
The New Black Panthers have issued ultimatums to the Sanford authorities, saying they want Zimmerman arrested “dead or alive.” They have placed a bounty on Zimmerman’s head, and have called for the building of an army of vigilantes to track him down and effect a citizen’s arrest.
The family member believes the reason Holder hasn’t made those arrests is because he, like the members of the New Black Panther Party, is black.
And Fauxbama says he never heard the guy say anything controversial

- Rev. Jeremiah Wright delivered three fiery sermons about faith, race and politics at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Charleston, West Virginia
- Wright said Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas worships “some other God” outside of “Allah and Yahweh” (who are the “same” he says)
- Obama’s former pastor called Thomas Jefferson “a pedophile”
- He sees “white supremacy” driving “world policy”
- Wright condemned the U.S. military, saying, “fighting for peace is like raping for virginity”
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright became a household name during the 2008 presidential campaign. The fiery preacher, who was President Barack Obama’s pastor for two decades, has since retired from his position at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, Illinois. However, he’s still an active figure in geopolitical and faith movements, as his bizarre commentaries often offend detractors and inspire intense debate.

On Friday, The News exposed city teachers who were accused of serious classroom offenses but kept on the payroll because state arbitrators said they couldn’t be fired.
One male instructor allegedly bent a boy over a chair and said, “I’ll show you what is gay,” while thrusting into him from behind. Another is accused of telling a student, “If it’s not going to get me in trouble, I would kiss you.” Others allegedly touched kids and followed them home.
The mayor said he had little control over firing teachers for misconduct because their punishments are decided by the hearing officers, who are chosen by the city and the teachers union.
“The theory is that they don’t want to be too tough on union members because then the union will never allow them to be selected,” said Bloomberg, who insisted he’s “fighting” to change the system.

‘Nothin’ But A Good Time”
(music by POISON – inspired by the VACATION HOUNDS)
Now listen.. not enough time, money already spent
We can barely make all the parties this week,
Saturday night like to take Air Force One out for a whirl
New York City, romantic dinner just me & Meesh.
We’re always smilin’, pretendin’ every day
But gotta get away from that same old; “America’s great”…
We take every chance to shop, golf & vaca…
If you could hear us think this is what we’d say…
Don’t need Nothin’ But A Good Time!
Why should we resist?
We deserve Nothin’ But A Good Time!
And the free world ain’t seen nothin’ like this!
They say we spend your money on our whims all the time
But we can’t tell you how much was wasted takin’ separate flights,
We’re real sorry bout’ the Spain trip’s lavishness
Meesh just likes to play international diva every now & then…
We’re always lecturin’, blamin’ everyday
Gotta get you away from your same old, bitter-clingin’ ways…
It’s for your own good, so just do it our way
If you could hear us think, we’re already at play…
Don’t need Nothin’ But A Good Time!
Why should we resist?
We deserve Nothin’ But A Good Time!
So don’t call us excessive, or hypocrites..
You see we raise a toast to all you folks…
Who are still believin’ our crap everyday…
If us wantin’ the good life is such a crime…
Then after November, on vacation we’ll stay!
Pelosi is so disconnected from reality she can make any prediction she wants and it will still be wrong. She helps pass laws and doesn’t even read the full text first. She is a national disgrace!

The study shows that “the bear population is not in crisis as people believed,” said Drikus Gissing, Nunavut’s director of wildlife management. “There is no doom and gloom.”
“Give up money, give up fame, give up science, give the earth itself and all it contains rather than do an immoral act. And never suppose that in any possible situation, or under any circumstances, it is best for you to do a dishonorable thing, however slightly so it may appear to you… From the practice of the purest virtue, you may be assured you will derive the most sublime comforts in every moment of life, and in the moment of death.” –Thomas Jefferson, letter to Peter Carr, 1785
Some conservatives seem to be celebrating the possible outcome of defeat of Obamacare by the Supreme Court based on questions of several of the justices. However, questions on the uniqueness of the healthcare market asked by Justice Anthony Kennedy, who is considered to be the swing vote, seem to be overlooked by many and not widely discussed.
Charles Krauthammer and Former Attorney General Judge Alberto Gonzales both recently referenced Justice Kennedy’s questions as being something to focus in on:
(1) Charles Krauthammer from Special Report with Bret Baier, Tuesday, March 27, 2012:
http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/294679/krauthammers-take-nro-staff
“If you had left after the first hour, when the Obama solicitor general was being whipsawed and didn’t have very good answers, you would have thought it was all over but the shouting — and that Obamacare was not going to survive. …
But I think it was somewhat of a change in tone at the end of the second hour from Justice Kennedy … he raised the question as to whether there is something unique about the health care market that would allow for a unique health care mandate. And I think if he is the one who joins with the liberals in upholding Obamacare, it will probably be on those kinds of grounds.”
(2) Former Attorney General Judge Alberto Gonzales on On the Record with Greta Van Susteren, Thursday, April 5, 2012:
http://gretawire.foxnewsinsider.com/video/former-attorney-general-alberto-gonzales-on-the-record/
At 03:55, Greta asks Gonzales his view on what the Court may do regarding health care and the Commerce Clause. Gonzales responds that we must carefully look at Kennedy’s questions on whether the market for health care is so unique that it may be a limiting factor and that may be what we need to focus in on.
Is it possible that Obama received a leak? Is it possible that the statements made by Obama threatening the SCOTUS to uphold this legislation may have simply been a ruse? It was interesting that Attorney General Holder did not complain or get ruffled or issue any statement about the “homework assignment” ordered by Fifth Circuit U.S. Appeals Court Judge Jerry Smith on judicial review.
“Smokin’ In The Oval Room”
(music by Motley Crue)
Spoken:
Do ya ever seem to have one of those days when everyone’s
on your case from your wife all the way down to the last Republican?
Well i’m used to havin’ those about all the time, but i found a way to get out of it…
Let me tell ya about…
Speakin’ in the pressroom thinkin’ it’s a drag
Answerin’ policy questions, just ain’t my bag
When Carney’s beeper rings, you know that’s my cue
I’m gonna meet some czars up in my office with the view…
CHORUS:
Smokin’ in the Oval Room…
Smokin’ in that Oval Room…
Michelle don’t know I’m lightin’ up and breakin’ her rules…
Even Biden knows that my smokin’ ain’t allowed in plain view…
Checkin’ out the westwing halls
makin’ sure tourists aren’t near,
Lookin’ in Clinton’s closet-stall
nah there ain’t no interns there!
My buddies Joe, Tim and Rahm,
to get caught would be certain PR death this fall!
Repeat Chorus
Axlerod put me to work in the Whitehouse gift store
Photo-op volunteerin’ but I got bored,
Meesh she was lookin’ for me all around
But two hours later, you know where I was found…
Smokin’ in my Oval Room…
Shinin’ up my clubs and shoes…
Well now Michelle don’t know I gave the patch up along with her rules,
Cause even Biden knows that my smokin’ ain’t allowed in plain view…
Patriot Post:
Ronald Reagan offered these words to skeptics: “I still can’t help wondering how we can explain away what to me is the greatest miracle of all and which is recorded in history. No one denies there was such a man, that he lived and that he was put to death by crucifixion. Where … is the miracle I spoke of? Well consider this and let your imagination translate the story into our own time — possibly to your own home town. A young man whose father is a carpenter grows up working in his father’s shop. One day he puts down his tools and walks out of his father’s shop. He starts preaching on street corners and in the nearby countryside, walking from place to place, preaching all the while, even though he is not an ordained minister. He never gets farther than an area perhaps 100 miles wide at the most. He does this for three years. Then he is arrested, tried and convicted. There is no court of appeal, so he is executed at age 33 along with two common thieves. Those in charge of his execution roll dice to see who gets his clothing — the only possessions he has. His family cannot afford a burial place for him so he is interred in a borrowed tomb. End of story? No, this uneducated, property-less young man has, for 2,000 years, had a greater effect on the world than all the rulers, kings, emperors; all the conquerors, generals and admirals, all the scholars, scientists and philosophers who have ever lived — all of them put together. How do we explain that — unless He really was what He said He was?”
And afterwards, they all went to Five Guys for a few bags of large fries

Obama’s “Hide and Seek” Campaign
“I’d be willing to consider the president’s plan, but he doesn’t have one! That’s right, in over three years he has failed to enact or even propose a serious plan to solve our entitlement crisis.” … “He does not want to share his real plans before the election, either with the public or with the press,” Mitt Romney said. “By flexibility, he means that what the American public doesn’t know won’t hurt him. He is intent on hiding. You and I will have to do the seeking.“

“I think Romney will win the election against Obama. But if you have a good conservative core in the Senate you’re going to get things on his desk, the president’s desk, that I think are going to be much stronger for the country, much better for the country, than if they weren’t there.
“So this isn’t just about winning a particular race, it’s also about having the cadres, so to speak, who can make positive things happen.”
Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke has warned of a pending fiscal cliff that the nation is approaching. The Bush tax cuts are set to expire on the first day of 2013, and deep spending cuts are also in the works.
Asked if lawmakers in Washington will be able to deal with this “cliff” without causing turmoil in the markets, Forbes responds: “After the November elections, if President-elect Romney makes it clear that he’ll sign temporary legislation on January 20 extending those tax rates for a few months so Congress can make deliberations on a whole new tax bill, I don’t think the markets are going to have much of a hiccup. I think they’ll make the Bush tax rates retroactive to January 1.
“So the key is who wins the election. If Obama happens to win, I think you’ll see a market selloff. I think we’ll be on the way to another recession. And I think the markets, if they anticipate Obama will win — markets don’t wait for a bad thing to happen, they sell off before it happens.”

Each year, the Tax Foundation calculates “Tax Freedom Day.” It determines this date by adding up all the taxes Americans pay to local, state and federal governments, then calculating what those taxes equal as a percentage of the total national income, and then convert that percentage into the equivalent number of days in a 365-day year (compensating for leap years to keep the date comparable for all years). This year, government will tax away 29.2 percent of the nation’s total income. That means Americans must work from Jan. 1 until April 17 just to produce the income the government will take away.

A Richmond grand jury on Monday indicted 10 convicted felons on charges of election fraud for allegedly lying on voter registration forms during the 2008 presidential election campaign.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Michael N. Herring said each of those indicted spoke with a solicitor who was trying to get people to register to vote. In most cases, the person told the solicitor that he or she was a felon, and some of those indicted told a solicitor they therefore could not vote.
Herring said the solicitors told each person they could vote, which wasn’t true. In some cases, Herring said, a solicitor told the felon that new legislation had restored the felon’s right to vote or that if he or she was going through a process to have voting rights restored, he or she could vote.
So do the Democratic Delegates in Virginia still want to claim that there has never been a single instance of voter fraud in Virginia???

VA College Republicans React To Biden Visit to Virginia
Yesterday Vice President Biden was in Norfolk, Virginia, speaking about making college affordable. This is quite ironic considering the fact that since President Obama has taken office, the cost of tuition at a four year in-state college has increased 25%. Furthermore, in Virginia the average college student graduates with $23,327 in student loan debt.
For someone who was so concerned with the youth in 2008, he has an interesting way of showing it. Obama’s most recent plan for increasing college affordability has done next to nothing to address the problem; rather, it is simply pandering to get the youth vote. In fact, it is estimated that his proposals would save the average student less than $10 a month.
“If the President wants to help recent college graduates, why are 40% of us forced to move back in with our parents? Why is our unemployment rate still much higher than the national average? Mr. President thanks, but no thanks. We don’t need your handouts. I’d rather elect a President who can fix the economy and reduce the size of government in order to get my generation back in the workforce.” – Michael Cogar, College Republican Federation of Virginia Chairman
RUSH: It’s really ironic to hear Barack Obama whining about legislation being decided by unelected judges. I wonder if he’s ever heard of Roe v. Wade. You talk about unelected judges imposing their own view of life on us? There’s no greater example than finding abortion to be constitutional. What about all of his czars who are unelected, who are unaccountable, who never have to be confirmed? We don’t know anything about them what they do or with whom they do it. Who elected Kathleen Sebelius to regulate one-sixth of the nation’s economy, our health care system? Who elected her? Who elected Steven Chu?
Who elected any of Obama’s czars? Who elected the EPA to rule by fiat on carbon dioxide emissions? You see, it’s okay to ram through Congress something of this magnitude, along party lines, using legislative trickery. That’s perfectly fine, but it can’t be struck down 5-4. It can pass 219-212, but it can’t be rejected 5-4. We can ram it through Congress all day long with nobody even having read the bill, but the justices can’t reject it by a vote of 5-4. This whole notion of the human element. Throughout our legal system, the human element is expressly omitted.

This is hardly a sentiment that should come from anyone sworn to uphold the Constitution, much less a public servant who is a lawyer, much less a person who once taught constitutional law at one of the nation’s best law schools.
The whole purpose of a life-tenured, unelected, independent judiciary is to be anti-democratic; to preserve life, liberty, and property from the tyranny of the majority. Without such a judiciary, nothing but brute force would protect us from a Congress that recognized no limits on its authority. Suppose that Congress, over the president’s veto, declared Joe Biden insane and removed him from office, or directed that Mrs. Obama lose custody of her children because she sent one of her daughters on a foreign trip without either parent, or that the First Amendment does not apply to those who hate the Chicago Cubs? Wouldn’t the president expect that “an unelected group of people” in black robes would interfere with those actions? Has he actually forgotten that an unelected group of people overturned segregated schools which was the beginning of the end of Jim Crow laws, ordered the government to try or to free people it has arrested, prevented the prosecution of unpopular speech, invalidated the federal regulation of guns near schools, and ordered a president who thought he was above the law to turn over subpoenaed tapes to a federal district court? The Supreme Court firmly established in Marbury v. Madison in 1803 that government behavior that is repugnant to the Constitution is not valid, and it is the duty of the courts to make that determination and to invalidate such behavior. This is called “judicial review:” It is the power of the courts to review the acts of the other branches of the federal government, and to review the laws of the states, and to void them when they exceed the confines of the Constitution. No serious legal scholar has questioned this power in the past 175 years. The president is entitled to his own opinions, just like everyone else is. He is free to argue and to predict that ObamaCare should and will be upheld. But he cannot seriously suggest, with intellectual honesty, that the Court is without lawful authority to invalidate an act of Congress that the Court determines is repugnant to the Constitution. Nor can he, with intellectual honesty, issue veiled threats to the Court. The Court is his equal, as a branch of government. But since 1803, the Court is superior to the president on having the final say as to what the laws and what the Constitution mean; and the president knows that. This Court, which has no army but does have a rich and unbroken tradition of commanding fidelity from the other branches of the government, cannot be intimidated by him. He can criticize it to his heart’s content; but he cannot lay a glove on the Supreme Court. |
I stand with Mitt 🙂
Obama is a dumb ass. That’s as tactful as I can put it. Now he has a homework assignment- ‘three pages, single spaced’ no less!

“Does the Department of Justice recognize that federal courts have the authority in appropriate circumstances to strike federal statutes because of one or more constitutional infirmities?” Judge Jerry Smith asked at the hearing.
Justice Department attorney Dana Lydia Kaersvang answered “yes” to that question.
| In its quest to implement stealth amnesty, the Obama Administration is working behind the scenes to halt the deportation of certain illegal immigrants by granting them “unlawful presence waivers.”

| General Services Administration held a blowout $820,000 conference near Las Vegas which grossly exceeded what the planners were allowed to spend. The employees dropped thousands of dollars on luxury items and convention giveaways — including more than $6,000 on commemorative coins, $8,000 on a “yearbook,” and $3,200 for an in-house mind reader. |

Another prominent Wisconsin Republican, Representative Paul Ryan, the House Budget Committee chairman, recently endorsed Romney. But it’s Johnson’s nod that intrigues political observers because his support, though hardly front-page news in most quarters, was unexpected. For the most part, the 56-year-old senator had been mum for months, sending few public signals.
It was a cute movie but I didn’t care for cameo appearances by liberal celebrities…

Jeff Sessions (R., Ala.), ranking member on the Senate Budget Committee and one of Reid’s most outspoken critics. “Because the problems of not having one are worse than the grief he would take on health care, spending, taxes, if we ever had to vote on them.” |
