Labor Dept. Attempts to Stop Layoffs by Giving $100 Million to States to Subsidize Payrolls

The Labor Department announced that it will be awarding almost $100 million in grant funding to states to prevent layoffs by allowing businesses to pay employees as part-time workers and the federal government will pick up the tab for the cost of a full-time paycheck.

    More meddlesome interference by the Feds to inhibit the proper functioning of the laws of supply and demand, thereby preventing the economy to correct itself. Thanks, Obama, for just prolonging the recession even further just so your unemployment “numbers” look good! Two thumbs up, A-Hole!!

      Just another $100 million taken out of the economy that can’t be used by small businesses to hire folks. Take it from the people and give it to the state government. Liberty at its best!
