Mitt didn’t lose in 08, he withdrew in February 08 for the good of the party and threw his support behind McCain. It was McCain who lost. But Santorum did lose his Senate re-election in 06 by 18 points-a very big loss. So if you’re calling names then you must call Santorum the loser. Answer your own question-why would we nominate a big 06 loser?? to lose again??
