| LAS VEGAS (AP) — First lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha are visiting Las Vegas after stopping in South Dakota on a family trip.
A spokeswoman for McCarran International Airport confirmed that the first lady was expected to arrive in Las Vegas Wednesday night. The visit wasn’t expected to affect flight operations. White House officials say the Obamas are on a private family trip to the West. The Obamas visited Mount Rushmore on Wednesday before heading to Las Vegas. |

Guess she’s taking a fashion vacation as well. So much for decorum of the First Lady. Why doesn’t she just break out the Aunt Jemima African getup? We all know she’s not proud of America and just dying to express her roots

Wonder who’s paying for all those new outfits and sporty ensembles in the First Lady’s wardrobe?? They coordinate so perfectly with whatever locale she visits!
I hope she enjoys her time on my dime, and yours. Maybe she will get lucky! Maybe she will see a show, which you and I will pay for.
It is OK for her to go to Vegas, but the taxpayers who have been supporting her trip habit (which much be more addictive than heroin) cannot go because we cannot afford it. Heck, under her brilliant hubby we are paying TWICE THE PRICE for fuel than when the hated and suppossedly moronic GWB was in office. I guess $4 and $5 gas (and continuing to rise every day) is the price we have to pay for bho’s brilliance. Personally if it would get me a fill up for less than a bill I would vote for just about anybody.
Also, I hope that all those in the Vegas valley have not forgotten these words straight out of fearless leaders own unfailable lips; when in 2009 Obama admonished corporations using federal bailout money: “You can’t go take a trip to Las Vegas or go down to the Super Bowl on the taxpayer’s dime.” A year later, Obama warned families against gambling away college tuition: “You don’t blow a bunch of cash in Vegas when you’re trying to save for college.”
The call for financial responsibility didn’t sit well with some Las Vegans, and Democratic and Republican lawmakers in Nevada all lashed back at the time. Even Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Obama’s most prominent ally in Congress and Nevada’s senior senator, told Obama to “lay off Las Vegas.”
If Harry Reid tells you to basically shut up, then you know you have stepped over the line.
If you happen to see the royal party out and about, wish her well, and hope she enjoys all the perks of being the living and breathing representation of Orwels Animal Farm. Remember all animals (or people) are equal, but some are more equal than others, such as the royal family and her travelling party of taxpayer spoonfed leeches.
