Anti-Romney Fallacy Stands!

by on February 14, 2012

Watching the latest polls and listening to the media talking heads, it becomes all the more clear to me that this hype is just as I have suspected all along.

I stand by my “anti-Romney” fallacy.   This is my belief that the search for any candidate but Romney is a completely false narrative.  The “anti-Romney candidate,” or “anybody but Romney,” or  “Romney’s not conservative enough”  speak is pure fallacy that has been created by the liberal media.  It’s a liberal media lie, and by buying into this lie, we are allowing the media to choose our candidate for us through our believing this is actually what all other republicans and conservatives want…an  “Anti-Romney!”

In looking back at the republican primary, how else do you explain the rise and fall of every other candidate in the race?  Each one’s rise was pure media-generated hype.  So-called polls.  The desperate republican search for anyone but Romney.  Republicans have been riding the tide of the media-generated candidate from the start — from Bachman (the tea-party darling), to Cain (a real black man who will be able to take out the other black man), to Perry (his poll numbers spiked before he was even in the race), to Gingrich (a bold, feisty, “fighter” to take down the media), and now, to the last man standing — to Santorum (finally! they speak his name! because, apparently, he is only now the most conservative.)  He is the current one riding high in the media-generated polls.  But this too shall pass.   (The media doesn’t respect Ron Paul as a formidable candidate, and Jon Huntsman dropped out too early to give the media a chance at propping him up although his name was being bantered around by the liberal left very early on.)

The media (both sides!) have fallen into this trap set long ago by the current administration in cahoots with the liberal media to take down the one most equipped to be take down Obama…Romney!    Obamanation doesn’t stand a chance of winning on his record.  The economy is in the tank.  Unemployment is high.  The country’s in chaos (I agree that the OWS protests were organized by the left and the big unions to set the stage to take down Romney as the 1%.)

The national health care issue and the Romney care issue may influence some, but in the end, it’s a bust because Romney had a state’s rights law behind him.

However, the administration is now creating a “social issue” to try to take down Romney and prop up who?  Their next “anti-Romney” candidate…Santorum!  I even heard liberals in the liberal media taking sides with Santorum against Romney!  Why is this?!  Because they know Santorum could be defeated by Obamanation in a general election.

I like Santorum, and I supported him early on because of his socially conservative stances.  But I was puzzled when I kept hearing “everyone” calling for the “most conservative!”  The “anti-Romney!”  But yet,  Santorum’s name was never mentioned.  “Everyone” (hmm….media-generated?!) kept saying we need to elect the most conservative candidate, the “anti-Romney.”  Again, why wasn’t anyone speaking Santorum’s name then?  He was the most socially conservative candidate by far, but he was not mentioned until now.  Oh!  And now look at what’s been brought into the fire!  A social conservative issue.  Dropped right onto Santorum’s plate.  How convenient!  Yes, indeed, he must be the candidate best able to fight this particular “social” issue now.

So we now see, once again, the media, prop up a candidate.  Our newest republican “anti-Romney” star. It’s clear to me that the liberal hacks in the media know Santorum is un-electable in the general election.  Hey, “anyone but Romney” though!

Remember when the liberal commentator in a recent republican debate  had a 15 minute rant on a “contraception” and “birth control” question?  Many conservative analysts now believe, in light of the current shenanigans of this administration, that the liberal commentator was ordered to ask this question by the liberal media and some in the administration.  Remember everyone was laughing about how stupid a question it was and wondering  why the liberal commentator was spending so much time on it, etc.?  Remember who the liberal commentator directed his questions to?  Romney and Santorum.

The issue today, however, IS NOT truly about “contraception” or “birth control” or even the “Catholic Church.”  It’s about our Constitutional rights.  It’s about the Constitutional rights of every citizen, and how this administration wants to trample those rights.  This affects everyone, Catholic or not, but it’s being framed as “a woman’s issue” – birth control, contraception, etc. in order to distract and detract from the real issue so that the media can skew it, and people will be fooled into thinking this is all about “contraception” and “Catholics.”  It’s not.  If you listen to the liberal talking points, they are all about “women’s rights.”  They don’t want to go near the fact that it is about the Constitution.

I support Romney in this election, not because I think he is the most conservative candidate  (I do not), but he is quite conservative enough for me, and he IS THE MOST ELECTABLE.

We NEED to take out the Obamanation.  Romney is the only one who can do it.  The current administration and the liberal media know this, and that’s why THEY created the “Anti-Romney” fallacy:  The search by “all” republicans for that candidate who MUST BE “ANYONE BUT ROMNEY!”

nice try 14ALL but there simply is NO Fallacy being played out in the Repub Primary! only AntiMitt REALITY – the Lib trap set for the GENERAL elect is the 1% vulture capitalist and the romney-obamacare, both designed to put mitt on the defensive while billing obamacon as middleclass warrior – mitt will look like a weak flipflopper in fighting back – and this fight will occur in the “middle-ground” right where the dems want it! mitt will presuade no one in the mushy middle & thus we lose 😦 in contrast the others who rose such as rick & newt & bachmann and esp Cain were unacceptable to the left because they would stand Boldly on the Right and articulate, persuade to Conservatism the mod middle mass… obamacon would have NO cover NO games NO place to hide 🙂 this is the reality they fear and why their media continually gush and elevate mittens while minimizing the others. Your Fallacy simply does not exist as created by the Left – if it did they would simply ignore Mitt or play up the romneyobamacare aspect – trust me the AntiRomney REALITY is trueblue and has nothing to do w/ the ridiculous OWS crap – it has everything to do w/ conservs not wanting to annoint and lose w/ a moderate who cannot inspire or explain Principles which BUILT the USA – mitt would get used & abused in the “middle” of the battlefield – we look to Reagan and the 2010 landslides (Remember those!!)for our gameplan to victory!

Romney is not a “far right” candidate, he is a true conservative candidate, but you’d never know that by listening to the fallacy being perpetuated by the media-elites. Romney is exactly the one that will be able to defeat the obamanation and turn this country around, which is exactly why the liberals fear him and why they created this entire fallacy, which you and many other conservatives have bought into.

sorry 14allnall41 but i’m not buyin’ it – i’m a Reagan conservative republican and am also living proof (along w/ millions others) of the Anti-Romney “Reality” – i don’t feel Mitt is the best to beat Obamacon is not most electable – i strongly feel Mitt is the one they WANT as there are many pitfalls & traps laid just for him… he is not the most conservative (very weak articulating & inspiring conservatism) and would not draw the Bold contrast to obamacon needed to highlight stark contrast and persuade mushy middle mods to our side… i come firmly from the old school of Reaganism and most of the candidates would have been much better equipped to get nomination & actually win (no more McLames or Doles please)… my prediction for the record is if he gets it, he will get used & abused fighting in the middle w/ obamacon – which is right where they want this fight to go down – a far right warrior (Rick or Newt) is not what they want BUT it is exactly what the USA needs in the face of this mortal threat to our Liberty! Have we not learned ANYTHING from Reagan and oh yeah.. the 2010 landslide!!!!!!
