However, apparently the airport presidents must “apply” to the TSA (!) in order to get permission to opt out and provide their own private screeners.
I was semi-harrassed by the TSA at an airport once. They made me take off my shoes to go through, then the old fart TSA agent was leering at my toes and telling me how much he liked that color of nail polish. It made me feel creepy!
