Florida’s Hispanic Voters Unhappy With Status Quo, Leadership Network says
10 facts about Florida Hispanic voters-
1. Six in 10 say the country is on the wrong track.
2. Only 46 percent support Obama on a generic presidential ballot today versus 57 percent at this time in 2008.
3. A narrow plurality says it is time for someone else to be president (46 percent to 45 percent), with a wider margin among Independents (48 percent to 41 percent).
4. Six in 10 say Obama has not delivered on his 2008 promises (65 percent to 20 percent among Independents).
5. By more than 2 to 1, Hispanic voters believe the situation for Hispanics in the United States is worse (38 percent) not better (15 percent) under Obama. Forty percent believe the situation is about the same.
6. Nearly two-thirds believe the economy (45 percent) and jobs (18 percent), combined, are the most important issues.
7. An overwhelming 85 percent are very or somewhat concerned about the federal government’s level of spending and debt.
8. A majority (51 percent to 43 percent) disapproves of Obama’s handling of the economy (56 percent to 39 percent among Independents).
9. A plurality (42 percent to 38 percent) believes Obama’s policies have made things worse (46 percent to 30 percent among Independents).
10. A majority (56 percent to 35 percent) believes Obama is a weaker leader than expected (60 percent to 28 percent among Independents).
